I question your upbringing if you think a Divine Parent can condemn their children to an eternity of suffering because they did not sate the ego of the God and submit their mortal existence to this God, where we are blink of an eye in the grand timeline, and nothing but a spec in the sea of souls from which we are a part. To condemn your child to eternal suffering for such a slight from so insignificant a piece, and to say God Loves his children? That is not a God of Love. That is a God of Ego. "Thou shalt have no other Gods but me." A jealous god indeed. "Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife, house, servant, etc." Wow, servants? Where's the comandment that says no servants? Where's the comandment that says "Do not cover your neighbor's husband? Pretty faulty....
I absolutely believe I am 100% a better father than the Christian God.
The same God who flooded the earth and aborted thousands of "babies still in the womb." out of wrath.
The same God who sent his "angel" to end the lives of all firstborn in Egypt - and spare those who sacrificed a lamb and painted its blood on their door.
The same God who hundreds, if not thousands of wars have been carried out in his name.
The same God who sent his son to die for everyone else, when they hadn't asked him to.
The same God who condemns his children to hell if they do not accept him in a mortal life which is acknowledged to cloud your mind as far as the divine goes.
Imagine, you see so things so much more clearly when you're dead, and God thrusts you into this life with no knowledge of the afterlife or what came before beyond reasonable doubt, gives you the tools to think for yourself, then punishes you for it and casts you to hell because you didn't submit to something you saw as intrinsically flawed.
My child could wrong me in the worst way, and there is no situation in which I could condemn my beloved child to an eternity of suffering. That's not a parent. That's a tyrant. I do believe in the Christian God, just not the common view of what God is perceived as among Christians. God is not a weapon to wield against those you disagree with as you see when concerning any single war in which they invoke the name of God or the LGBTQ community.
