Thank you. Weird stuff isn't it. Here's some food for thought. The subject isn't easy. But in this modern day and age, having toys at a gunclub or gunrange is ok, but for self protecting? C'mon we don't live in the middle ages anymore. If we want to move forward, things have to change. It all comes down to trust, trusting yourself and your neighbour, police and government. (don't hit me with conspiracy shit, have some trust and think for yourself)
If we turn it around, there is something that needs to change, several things actually. It's not a single problem. The thing that baffles me is why no one is asking why he shot up the school, because there lies the real problem. Bullying, exclusion? If we want to change it, you also need to change the envoirnment we live in. We people are a weird kind, we don't want to change and wanting to protect it and habits whatever the costs.
Argument for having guns: to protect yourself- ok, then why are crazy gunmen never shot by people that have a gun to protect themself.
have guns because we don't trust the government, well that is a problem in itself. Why is that, old thing from the wild west when the settlers came from Europe?
We'll never stop illegal guns, that's a non-argument, but we sure can minize the wrong people having them. Having a firearm permit, Phyc checks, background checks, only semi-automatic guns, gunclub registration for beeing skilled owning one, police checking your gun and ammo storage. You can't stop the people that snap and go nuts. There are more nutsjobs on the streets, then that are locked up.
It goes on and on. But we have to start somewhere if we don't want our children to die unnecessarily.
I'm afraid the replies will come in now.
