For some reason gay people on this site keep saying that the Middle East doesn’t kill gays. What have they been drinking?

Chick-fil-donated money to anti lgbtq+ acts. Lgbt dont give a crap if a company doesnt do anything about lgbt. Randoms company's make profit by turning their profiles to rainbow which is why lgbt people hate that they are being used for money

Um. Okay well, this meme is true as far as it goes — still rather wrongheaded for portraying Western gays as crybabies given all the hate and rejection they encounter on a daily basis.

Gay marriage and gay-friendly corporate symbolism doesn’t change that. Doesn’t help much that the manufacturer of your phone accepts you, when your parents don’t and you’re relentlessly bullied and teased at school and online. And we haven’t even touched the discrimination facing trans people.

But yes, it is worse to be beheaded. This much is true.

So, for promoting awareness of the even-worse homophobic atrocities committed in countries that haven’t yet left the stone-age on this, you get partial credit.

Hope the meme here adequately conveys my mixed emotions

Many western gays do act triggered over trivial things, I hear people complain about things like "lack of diversity" in TV shows and movies (even though there are plenty of lgbt cartoons) and complain about how they are triggered by people or companies not agreeing with their political opinions and relentlessly bully people over petty issues like political disagreement however I do know some gays do get mistreated by their parents and I do feel deeply sorry them, it's definitely not as bad here in the west as in other countries but it does sometimes happen to them here. My mom knew a man who was abused by his parents as a kid all because he was gay and his parents were very strict Catholics who didn't take kindly to lgbt people, he became an atheist due his mistreatment from his Catholic parents, I imagine that homophobic mistreatment was no doubt traumatic for him. My mom was great friends with this man and loved him like a brother but even though my mom was good friends with him, he was sometimes toxic to her all because she is a Christian even though she wasn't a homophobic bigot like his parents and never said a wrong thing towards him for being gay. I am for supporting people who are mistreated for being lgbt but not mollycoddling people away from hearing something they disagree with and acting like hearing something you disagree with is "oppression" is you hear something you disagree with and you're offended, that's it you move on. Also I don't think west is an anti-lgbt country when he have laws that protect lgbt rights and our society is pro-lgbt as it gets and people get scornfully condemned and cancelled for merely saying something an lgbt person disgrees with. Also these corporations are always dressing themselves in rainbows in the west pretending to care about lgbt people but don't stand up for lgbt in the Middle East where they don't have rights.

More than 600 LGBTQ people killed in the US in past two decades (2018 reference)

One rando googled article said 11 countries threaten killing gays, but only 6 go through with it, 3 in the Mideast, 3 in Africa.

Also, "Outside the West, many countries are deemed potentially dangerous to their LGBT population due to both discriminatory legislation and threats of violence. These include countries where the dominant religion is Islam, most African countries except South Africa, most Asian countries other than Israel, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand and the Philippines, and some former-Communist countries such as Russia, Poland (LGBT-free zone), Serbia, Albania, Kosovo, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina."

Brazil, a country with LGBT rights protections and legal same-sex marriage, is reported to have the world's highest LGBT murder rate, with more than 380 murders in 2017 alone.

At least 202 murders of members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community occurred between 2014 and 2016 in Mexico, a rate of nearly six homicides per month, with female trans individuals bearing the brunt of the violence.

A total of 108 trans women (transvestites, transgender individuals and transsexuals), 93 gay men and a lesbian woman were killed, the non-governmental organization Letra S said in a report based on media monitoring.

"Homosexual slayers clearly have no monopoly on violence, but it is true that their crimes often display extremes of "overkill" and mutilation... On balance, it seems fair to say that while homosexuals sometimes fall prey to "gay bashing" violence by bigoted "straights," they are far more likely to be murdered by another homosexual than in a random hate crime."

well, what is the context of their murder? Is it intentionally because they are gay (If so can you prove it?), or are they for other reasons, because people are getting killed all over the world as we speak for all sort of reasons.
1 up, 3y
Many of them were likely killed by a fellow LGBT person . . . crime of passion.

"One rando googled article said 11 countries threaten killing gays, but only 6 go through with it, 3 in the Mideast, 3 in Africa."

That is in reference to countries with a state policy which designates homosexuality as a capital offense.

Comparing execution as a legal court ordered punishment to outright murder as an act of violence by private citizens are two different things, context wise.

Further, unofficial Sharia courts in countries like Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and even parts of India where groups like ISIL, the Taliban or other extermists hold sway have rather publically executed numerous people for LGBT 'offenses,' some for the 'crime' of being victims of homosexual (male on male) rape themselves, while their rapists walk away with a few lashes at most because they weren't the recipient of the penetration.

Perhaps next time you should make a more detailied, broader check.
Although I advise you, skip the details, they are rather difficult to stomach and most infuriating to the point that you will never look at that culture and people that justifies and perpetrates this the same again.

Blahblahblah blahblahblah blahblahblah. The facts there are clear enough. Brazil has the highest rate despite having laws that protect. Kinda debunks the stereotype of the meme, DONTCHA THINK?

Apparently you don't know how to think. Doesn't matter if there are official laws to punish or protect, both are made by people and the result is the same.
0 ups, 3y
Your dictionary needs dusting off, as execution in accordance to laws in countries that are backwards in every regard and where such oppressed hide in secret is somewhat slightly kinda a lot different a lot from criminal violence in a country whose favelas alone have a larger population than the entire Middle East combined AKA words mean things.

Also, ISIS is a nearly defunct proxy force of thugs and criminals armed and funded by the US/UK/Gulf Monarchies/Israel, which was resoundly defeated and scattered by the Syrian Military aided by Russia. They killed plenty of civilians and were not especially going out of their way to find and kill homosexuals. They were busier looting and extorting and collecting their paycheck as pawns in a failed "regime change" operation.

ISIL is funded by Saudi Arabia with some assistance from Pakistan and Turkey.

They were routed primarily by Kurdish Peshmerga, Shiite Militia, and Iranian Quds forces (lead by the since assasinated Iranian General Soleimani) which armed, trained, and organized them as well as fought alongside them as the largest foreign contingent in Iraq and Syria.

The Syrian militirary is busy at war with its own citizenry, and Russia is assisting mostly in that effort.
The Russians and the US have supplied some assistance in combating ISIL, but the primary resistance were the three groups listed above.

Amazing how wrong you got it. ISIS got minor support from Saudi, Turkey was the entryway for all that assistance from US/UK/Gulf/Israel, and the exit for all the stuff they looted from Syria. They had their proxy boys truck convoys of stolen oil going to the coast where Erdogans son took it in tankers and sold it fo western countries and Israel. That is until Russian forces bombed it.

Kurdish forces are only in a small portion of the country where the fighting took place. Turkey and Iran played very minor military roles. Saudi bluffed and full of crap as usual.

It was absolutely the Syrian military with the aid of russian forces that liberated the country and defeated the Zionist Caliphate ISIS project, much to the dismay of the neocon scum and Bibi Nutteryahud. Syrians were never killing their own people because the ISIS forces are the same old mercs from Afghanistan and Al-Qaidah, deadbeats and criminals willing to put on phony fake show of a "Caliphate" for their Western paymasters.

Except of course for the illegal US forces there which are busy stealing more oil and killing Syrians.
0 ups, 3y
Let me get this straight, the US which was already in Iraq funneled assistance through Turkey for ISIL which it created so it can use Iran and various Iranic people (Kurds and Iraqi Shia) under the leadership of General Soleimani to oust them and then took credit for that and then assassinate him and verge on war with Iran because why?

This was based on your first line and half, as I didn't bother reading the rest of your drivel, 'Jeffrey'

2 ups, 3y,

Yes, I care about lgbt who are oppressed in the Middle East, Africa and China, I care about people lgbt who were mistreated by their parents as kid, I feel deeply sorry for a person who gets fired for being gay the only kind of person I don't feel sorry for is an sjw who whines about something trivial as "lack of diversity" in movies, tv shows and commercials or a person having a political opinion they disagree with. If you don't like what you see on tv then change the channel, there are plenty of woke lgbt cartoons you can watch, if someone or a company has a political opinion you disagree with then you can always ignore them and don't give money to that company, there are plenty of companies that paint themselves in rainbows for you. You are allowed to have your own opinion but you cannot bully and impose your opinions on others who don't agree with you, political intimidation are toxic and divisive that will earn you resentment and such toxic behavior won't help your cause.

How do you feel about the 99% of gays who were anally raped as minors? Do you condone sexual violence? Do you denounce those who perpetrated those horrific crimes?
2 ups, 3y,
1 reply
I definitely don't condone sexual violence. I absolutely do denounce those who commit such a sick horrific act. Unfortunately society is too PC to condemn such acts of sexual violence when a gay man does it and accuse people of being "homophobic" for condemning such sex offenders, when it was revealed that Kevin Spacey assaulted a minor he thought he could avoid being held accountable for his actions by "coming out as gay", James Charles assaulted a minor and people don't seem too inclined to call him out just because he is gay and a transwoman by the name of Jessica Yaniv preyed on minors and she thinks can get away with just for being transgender and accuse anyone who calls her out of being "transphobic".

99%. I’m going to go ahead and call that a 100% made up number. It is in fact a strategy for vilifying homosexuals.

All rape is bad, all child molestation is bad. So is demonizing people.

Doesn't change the fact that it is true. Only an ignorant straight doesn't know it, or a perpetrator who is trying to cover it up. They Absolutely deserve to be vilified. Not once in a thousand years has one apologized for committing anal child rape crime, even when caught and punished by law.

It doesn't change the facts. But the facts are you are wrong. And I dare say a bigot if you think that 99% of gay people are gay because of rape and are probably rapists themselves.
