a "living" wage is a different topic than the federal minimum wage. Individual states can have higher minimum wages based on their state labor laws, but not any lower than the federal minimum wage. The idea of "living" wage is very subjective and different for different people. Any worker with more skills and experience will qualify for higher wages, so the minimum ONLY applies to workers who have no skills and no experience, hence the minimum.
that may happen for middle income earners, but not for minimum wage workers. People should not strive to make minimum wage, it should be your starting pay as a teenager or your first part-time job at a fast food or retail store. If anything, earning minimum wage should be incentive to gain skills and experience in a job field or start your own business so you can earn much more.
Trump may be considered wild by some, but he's extremely predictable. He's doing everything he said he was going to do for years. No one should be "shocked" or "surprised" by anything Trump is doing. He's been telling everyone this is exactly what he's going to do.
In Washington D.C., they passed a city law allowing illegals to vote. In California, they have already have a law forbidding the requirement of any ID when registering to vote, just a name and address. Right now, Democrat Chuck Schumer is suing the Trump administration for not allowing illegals to vote.
