I'd rather see him rot in prison for the rest of his life.

Upvote as I do respect your opinion, Viking.

I just would not want the guilty party to be living if they were responsible for deliberately taking away the life of another person. It may sound harsh to some, but that is my honest reaction.

Also, the taxpayers footing the bills for a killer of another human being doesn't exactly set right with me either....

I can see why people are for the death penalty, and I respect that. Even if the court decides on the death penalty, before it can be carried out, he'll probably be spending a lot of time behind bars.

If he doesn't carry out his alleged wish to remove himself first.

Here in Taxifornia, it's actually cheaper to sentence them to life without parole. It stops the endless parade of appeals to the sentence.

Regardless, I hope that mans what it says. Life without parole.

Locking him in a cage for the rest of his miserable life is probably the worst thing we could do to him. He's going to die anyway. We all do. Make his life on Earth miserable.

I agree with you. Capital punishment costs too much. Lock the boy up in GP, forget about him, and leave him there until he's carried out.
BUT... If capital punishment were carried out more swiftly, then by all means, he needs to go meet his maker.

Here's a radical idea. If he's given the death penalty, instead of killing him, wipe his memory (they can do that now with drugs and electric shock) and have him essentially start his life over in a new location similar to witness protection.

They tried that in an original Star Trek episode dealing with the criminally insane. . .all it takes is for the wrong type of person to get ahold of that kind of tech.
0 ups, 3w
That's why they suppress all new tech. Someone bad can use it. Maybe we should focus on making society better so there's fewer bad people. We need some kind of moral framework that will keep people in line...

Or we can open an OG prison island known as Devil's Island. Just ship the worst of the worst there and let whatever happens happen.

Round 3 years ago on a meme asking if we were in favor or opposed to the death penalty on the Think_Tank stream, I said I was always pretty much against it but in the cases of like what happened to Jeffrey Dahmer, an infamously brutal cannibalistic rapist serial killer, well let's just say I did not express proper sympathy and remorse for his sad tragic passing, and was given a 48 hour sitewide timer for it. 48. For not shedding tears. For Jeffrey Dahmer. 48

That was a bogus time out. If the time could be given back somehow - I would vote to give it back to you. Or like maybe there was a "Get out of Jail Free" card... I would vote for you to receive it for that time out.

Too expensive. I see no reason to let murderers live off the tax payer for 40 years. It should be 1 year... You get 1 year to prove you didn't do it - if you can't prove you didn't do it, to the execution processes.

If you purchase a product and it turns out to be defective, you return it to the store in exchange for one that works properly. Send him back to the Lord and pray we get a better human in return.

Unfortunately, our press makes such a big deal out of so many crimes. If you ask me, it only inspires copycat criminals. It’s time to change crime reporting to an emphasis on convictions and punishments.
Keep the consequences of misdeeds forefront in potential criminals minds.

Forgiving someone and seeking justice are two different things. We can forgive someone, but they still need to face justice. God will be the ultimate judge.

His execution should be televised on pay per view, use the funds raised to help pay down the debt and give Kirk's family a nest egg.

If we are going that route - grab all the execution prisoners & have them Thunder Dome for survival. Bracket it - allow gamblers to gamble on the matches - last person standing gets to have a life sentence instead.

Winners can then also elect to go back into the Thunder Dome to reduce sentences. If you win and then go back and win again - here's a set term limit sentence now. They elect to go back in and win again... Here's a reduction in your sentence. To where they can get the sentence down to like 20 years.

Not a bad idea but I'm not sure there's someone ever won out and reduced their sentence to the point to where they got out I wouldn't want those people walking the street again
4 ups, 3w
The maximum they could reduce would be to 20 years in prison, which is what a lot of murderers end up doing these days

You mean like January 6th Patsies... Or did you forget the FBI had 274 plain clothes agents walking amongst the crowd - stirring up the crowd to actually break into the building...

January 6th was a psyop & everybody knows it now. Had the crowd not had 10 percent of the crowd being plain clothes agents stirring trouble, the crowd would have only protested.

Parroting the discredited Blaze story of Trump appointee FBI director Wray? With Trump adding hype to the story?

Trump attempt to rewrite history of Jan 6th, as being a maga tour? Not a traitor coward who responded with a coup in an attempt to overthrow a free and fair election? Because he's a fascist?

Those fascist , maga terrorists traitors, should have all been sent to Guantanamo.

Lmao sure buddy. Kash Patel didn't deny there were 274 plain clothes agents. He said they were simply there for crowd control.

Which - if you take it at its base statement is true... They were crowd control. It was their job to control the crowd and get people riled up to break into the building.

It's almost like as if critical thinking has passed you by on this topic.

Kash Patel is an unqualified Right wing podcaster. No one outside of maga takes his disinformation seriously. Remember how he botched Kirk investigation then took credit?
Good cops, Valhalla anyone?
Kash is a genuine part of Trumps deep state, need proof? He's part of the Epstein files suppression campaign directed by Bondi and sanctioned by Trump.
(Funny how maga supports an anchor baby such as Kash. Ahem, Trump loyalists sycophants pardon?)

Do you want me to prove to you he's not unqualified or do you just want to admit you're gaslighting against Patel? I'm going to prove you wrong anyway mind you...

Wow that's slavery. Nobody owns people in the United States - citizens are Free People. That's especially controversial considering I have black family members. They would be so upset if they saw you're trying to own people.

Emancipation Proclamation...Do you speak of?!?

Thank you proving you're racist. A persons skin color should never have a person thinking they are of a particular Political motivation.

You think Black People can't be MAGA or something? Wow.

Having a bi racial family that's maga is racist? Really? I'm a lib remember? Soy boi? How am I the racist one? Appears you have a lot of anger for having such a happy wife.

I didn't realize you were the imgflip racist cop. Incredible how sensitive you are. Come on, you sure you don't like soy?
1 up, 3w
Its a known thing I'm a registered Democrat, of course I'm sensitive. I'm just a Democrat on the proper side of history... Basically a rarity. Apparently that makes me the person who stands up against racism... Oh wait.

Maybe I'm more aligned conservative than I previously thought.

Also yeah I did. 6 of the last 7 FBI directors were hired outside of FBI ranks & you've never said bad things about how they got hired... Then also you made it seem as if they always hire internally when historically they haven't in recent appointments.

And yes - lots of people are laughing at this & I've taken them through the thread. My wife says you sound like a miserable liberal.

Yes, experimentation is the spice of life. It's why the Grinder app crashed at Charlie Kirks funeral. Lots of gayness happening with those married maga men. Once they get away from the old ball and chain. Watch out!

He's not from the FBI. FBI always has people from the inside who understands how there system works. Kash is a loud mouth midget with a little man complex. He's unqualified for the position.
Just another Trump sycophant.
And btw? Nice try.

Newsflash: nobody is from the FBI when they get hired into the FBI.

Also - I knew what you meant, but wanted to see you say it first... Because 6 of the last 7 FBI director were hired in the same manner.

Since its establishment, five of the last six permanent FBI Directors have been appointed from outside of the FBI's ranks: William Sessions, Louis Freeh, Robert Mueller, James Comey, and Christopher Wray, now Kash Patel.

How come I never saw you complain about other people being from outside of the FBI? Almost seems like political Bias due to an underlying case of TDS.

Congratulations! You've owned a lib! Or, perhaps, I let you own me? For fun?
Regardless, I really do believe I'm living in your head. Allegedly, of course.
