Freedom of speech, particularly in the form of peaceful protest, is about as American as it gets. Since MAGA supports the Constitution 100%, you may, as shocking as it seems, have fallen prey to some biased, even anti-MAGA, so called "journalism" in order to have formed that opinion.

"Peaceful protest" should be clearly defined..walking and not blocking anyone from their daily live, not setting fires..not looting or burning shit..sure..that is peaceful.. the moment protests start to interfer with people getting to work, or the hospital, or setting fires.. that ends the entire "peaceful" narrative. Cops and citizens should have the right to stop that type of activity with any force nessessary.

Easy to make a blanket statement about red hats but hard to support it. It would be like me claiming that all Democrats believe in abortions which is definitely not true.

'Peaceful protesting' is not the issue here....setting fires, destroying stuff and harming others including ICE & police officers are the issues.

I believe in consistency and consequence when raising kids or choosing political parties. GLAD the adults are back in charge. Just hope that Elon and Donald can sort out their targets....should not be each other!

Agreed. Everything in that post... I agree. And you know I was lucky with the kids... Sure, they were rebellious, but nothing some consistency and discipline didn't fix. It was probably more their Mom's doing than me, because they all turned out great. She was a little tougher than I was on the discipline, but we presented a united front. One thing I did that I think paid off the most was never giving them the answer with their homework. If they couldn't get the answer to a problem, we'd talk, and I'd explain how I would go about solving whatever the problem was. My goal of course was to teach them HOW to think, not WHAT to think. I'm not a brainwasher. I believe you'll come up with the right solution more times than not if you can think for yourself. (something most lefties can't seem to do...) I don't even know their politics and I don't care. But I think one is a lib, and one married a lib, so clearly my approach was not 100% successful!...! But even the married lib is a great guy. We do talk politics a bit, but unlike dealing with libs here on the mighty imgflip, we talk like two adults who actually have respect for each other. (his arguments for lib policies aren't any better tho...)
