I generally don't bother to watch or listen to trump interviews, speaking engagements, or events anymore. If I see or hear him talking I just change it. I figure if his gums are flapping he's lying or saying something not true. I don't think he actually cares if what he says is true or not. Even when he's blatantly lying. I figure I'll hear the highlights clipped 10 times later anyway.
And tbf idk if he spoke during that parade but in any case, I consider myself a patriotic American, I have vets in my family, and I support all of our troops ...but... to me, generally speaking, I equate military parades with dictators, Hitler, and even weakness to some extent. I think they're flat out un-American. Also seems like a waste of money for no reason. So no, I didn't watch it. Hopefully it had some positive effect on the troops morale if no other silver lining.
And since you mentioned freedom of protesting against the government, trump somewhat recently floated the idea of punishing flag burning protests with 1 year in prison. To be clear I don't support flag burning... but the freedom to do it IS part of what America is about. Making it illegal would be right on brand with his dictator sh*t.
Good enough? Trump was far less qualified his first term than she is. Had she won, my stocks probably would've been doing better than they are, America (and several other countries) wouldn't be out protesting in the streets, we wouldn't be in limbo with the on again off again trade war, and we wouldn't be driving our allies away.... possibly into the hands of our enemies.
You feel free to call out any parts of the alleged "fantasy" I live in.... I have already called out yours. (Still waiting on those sources bruh.)
