But it orders the license to do business be revoked. Which, now you're probably thinking, "well, he's got business in other countries. Around the world! No big deal. That's just one business in one city!"
And, yes, he does have companies around the world. Which are in turn owned by his business in New York.
So. When you dissolve the core business, you have to account for its assets. Which include the businesses around the world. Those are liquidated. Investors are paid back.
That's why his lawyers asked if his sons have to move out of Trump tower immediately or if they can wait.
It's over. What they're doing now is settling the bill. That $250 million fine the state asked for is the floor. The amount goes up from there. If there's any money left over, he gets to keep the cash. He can apply for business licenses in other states, but not in New York.
