I love being pureblooded. Covid vaccines kill

Said another way "People that aren't holed up in their basements and actually go out of their homes and do things are more likely to have a traffic accident than those that are afraid to come out of their basements:!

There, fixed it for them.
5 ups, 2y
What this really boils down to is this is just another tactic from the left to force their poison vaccine on you... you know the one where they are not liable for the vaccine... where they asked the courts to hide the data for 75 years...
4 ups, 2y
Indeed!

Kid you not; I was stopped for a red light and I looked at the driver in the vehicle next to me. Alone, no passengers, windows up, mask on, seatbelt OFF.

Faith in humanity was degraded that day.

I saw that in my Google news feed too

Study was done in Canada. They took a database of the unvaxxed Canucks to see what negative correlations they could find. So, no bias in the study. Also, it did not determine who caused the accident.
Obviously it was not a double/blind, placebo controlled study!

People with poor understanding of risk assessment and responsibility are more likely to be caught out taking risks and irresponsible driving?

What a controversial statement.
2 ups, 2y
That actually sounds like nonsense.

“This does not mean COVID-19 vaccination directly prevents traffic crashes. Instead, it suggests that adults who do not follow public health advice may also neglect the rules of the road.”

Which is some bullshit.

The logic behind it is ridiculous. I obey traffic laws but didn't want to inject unknown substances. Doesn't make me a law breaker.

Sure. You do.

But how many times have you been in a car with like your dad or your grandpa or uncles and they start commenting about the drivers around them? And specifically, they say something like "Well, these people just need to..." and they will do something kind of reckless like refusing to yield at a merge to let someone in?

And how often do they say the same thing when They're the ones merging? And they do something kind of reckless like just get in the lane without really waiting to see if someone has cleared a space for them?

Those are the people this study is talking about. The people who insist that you need to make room for them but refuse to make room for anyone else.
6 ups, 2y
I'm not buying it.
5 ups, 2y
Damn that’s still stupid tho

...simply to justify a BS headline.

If those are the people the study are talking about, cite me the section of the study that says so. Otherwise, stop inventing unfounded, specious arguments about people's behavior driven by your own bigotry.
1 up, 2y
I'll quote the study authors: the authors theorize that people who resist public health recommendations might also “neglect basic road safety guidelines.”

I'd like to add that the responses to my comment are falling in line with this idea. The 'f**k you, you're wrong! You can't tell me how!' kneejerk reaction is on full display.

He probably 'thinks' (for lack of a better term) that Obama was responsible for those too.

That clip is a bonafide classic. It's like Steve Railsback doing a parody of a MAGAt dolt, only better!

"Context" - its a heck of a thing.

Now, to be fair, those are the numbers the researchers crunched, but they’re not saying that the vaccine itself determines whether you’re going to make it to your destination without incident. Rather, it’s whether people who have vaccine hesitancy – defined by the World Health Organization as refusing a vaccine, or delaying acceptance of it, despite there being an adequate supply, access and awareness of the vaccine – may also be the type to engage in behaviors shown as the primary causes of most crashes, including speeding, inattention, tailgating, disobeying signals, passing improperly or failing to yield right-of-way, or driving while impaired.

Because dumbass drivers who disregard safety measures suffer no negative consequences from driving like wreckless imbeciles just as they are just as likely to disregard safety measures for all other sorts of things at all!
