Why should people be paid for not doing work? Why should women be paid just because they are having a baby? These notions are what destroy business and society.
1) Don't have irresponsible sex.
2) Have children with your partner when you're ready to have kids.
3) Don't take money from the company you work for and put them out of business because you're entitled.
You kidding right? The US government on the federal and local level have problems protecting mothers and their babies because in many places government refuses to arrest and prosecute violent criminals.
Some states do have it. Some don’t. People who live I. The states decide by voting. That’s called a democracy. No all knowing globalist governemnt deciding for everybody.
Maybe because our government is too busy sending our money subsidize gender studies in foreign country and 40 billion to the Ukraine to save Europe again.
Those “greedy” corporations that only care about profits. Are also willing to pay for your abortion. Not because of their benevolence or wokeness; But because it’s cheaper and more profitable than a maternity leave.
