Not to devalue the loss of any human life, particularly those lost to covid (loved ones, family, and / or friends... even those we don't know) but since you boiled it down to raw numbers... that f**ton is well under 0.06% of the estimated current worldwide population. And if we're being realistic, that 4.55 million is very likely over-stated.
I only broke it down to raw numbers for two reasons: first, since you did I think it's proportional and informative for me to do so (yes, just my opinion) And also to provide some perspective and context when people use raw numbers without those two things.
For example, did you know that over 3,700 people die in traffic accidents every single day?!!? So, we better stop driving cars, right? And over 7,000,000 people die from smoking cigarettes each year. So we'd better make those illegal while we're at it (actually, that one wouldn't bother me other than the whole freedom angle...)
