A Liberal Says What?

This report has been disputed as fake news. The actual bill was to offer milk or water as the default, not an outright ban on soda to kids. Still, CA is becoming increasingly divergent from the rest of the country. I say we sell them to the highest bidder.

How is this a law that makes any sense? Restaurants would already give water as default, as other drinks COST MONEY. Do waiters even give free soft drinks to kids without asking the parents first?? Even if they did, the parents could just say no or ask for a different drink instead?

So again, I have to wonder why there is any need for government involvement.

It's a "foothold" as all liberal tactics in the same manner. For example, the soda tax in supermarkets was a foothold that later become "grocery tax." This already happened in Philly so it is a factual claim while new cities across California and Seattle started the "same" approach, claiming it is to reduce obesity for kids and only on soda.

This is from the state that banned straws and are planning to ban balloons, yeah whatever they're selling you, the end goal of this campaign is to ban soda from restaurants and I say not even for kids, but for adults.

It isn't an outright ban, but it is sanctioned way to dole kickbacks to the the dairy industry, much like the kickbacks physicians receive from pharmacies for peddling certain drugs. Sugar doesn't cause diabetes, diabetes damages your pancreas from producing insulin or damages your body from absorbing (type 1 and type 2). You might actually know that if you didn't waste your life smoking pot.

Type 2 diabetes is correlated with excess sugar consumption and I don't smoke pot. I was simply trying to offer a little thing called perspective. You might actually have picked up on that if you didn't waste your time throwing around baseless ad hominems instead of using that stuff between your ears for something other than to keep your skull from collapsing in on itself.
