To be honest, I feel like the term "being gay" is a harmful term because it absolves any action from it and just refers to it as a "condition", which makes it easy to not take any responsibility for your actions and also accuse people who don't agree with your actions of hating you instead of hating your actions. For example, saying that "being a minor-attracted person (MAP) doesn't mean so and so" would get a much different reaction. Because people can choose not to sleep with minors, and we all know it (except apparently Gavin Newsom). I think a better term would be "having same-sex attraction". Sometimes Christians come out in therapy as struggling with same-sex attraction. That is a much better way to go about it than just saying "I'm gay. Accept me or you hate me." You can love your kid even if he becomes a robber, despite the fact that he may feel that you confronting him for being a robber means you hate him because he is a robber. Using a "to-be" verb there is very unfair to the people having same-sex attraction because it gives them the delusion that they cannot control it, which is unfair because of what tends to cause it. The p0rn industry is extremely rampant in the gay community and studies have shown that people watching gay p0rn or trans p0rn are far more likely to have same-sex attraction or want to become trans. This is why the entertainment industry wants to push p0rn and sexual content to minors - because if they get addicted from youth, it's even harder to break the addiction, and they now have no reason to realize that the addiction is not one and the same with their very being. That is detrimental to one's character.
Nobody who has any self respect is proud of watching p0rn, but the people producing our entertainment really want to change that and make it normal. It is like an addictive drug that wastes hours of your time and makes people much hornier and desperate for s3x. Many abuse cases can be tied back to p0rn addictions.
Again, this is not said out of condemnation, but concern. P0rn is destroying our culture, and recovering from it takes a lot of effort, just like drug recovery. If p0rn was a simple preference, I wouldn't talk about it like this, but since it is a controlling mental drug that people cannot easily break away from, I do NOT think this should be being pushed to more and more people, especially minors, who just want to do whatever they think is cool at the moment and don't think long term.

I do think you can believe in God and be gay. I just think God doesn't approve of it and if you want to grow closer to Him, you should repent for it. I don't hate people for being gay or having different opinions. (I get annoyed if people treat you like garbage because they don't like your opinion - and this includes Christians). I also don't treat people differently either for not being Christian or not having my opinions (I may not have the same humor around them, but I don't even have my natural humor around other Christians because they also wouldn't like it). I will want to help others find God, but I'm not an a--hole to other people about it.

Jesus forgives Christians but that doesn't mean that one should not repent for what they did wrong. A habitual murderer can become Christian, but if he does not quit his habit of murdering, he isn't in a right relationship with Jesus (this is an extreme example, but it's just meant to show that you can't go about a relationship with God with the thought process of "i'm sinful, but I don't care because Jesus will forgive me anyway." God forgives us because we are not perfect, but He doesn't tolerate us completely disregarding Him. And this is hard for any person to accept, not just gay people. tbh I don't really like that myself, not for gay reasons but for other reasons.

Yes, every surgery has risks but most are not destructive to health. Trans surgeries have messed up people's immune systems for life, and made them likely to get cancer by 30. It's reduced people's lifespans at a ridiculous rate. These are risks that should not just be ignored and not told to people before they actually get a procedure. Because I am the type of person that would refuse any treatments that had that as a potential risk, and I'm not the only one. I've even seen people on TikTok feel like they'd been deceived because they were assured trans surgeries were safe and assuring, and now they have to pay mass sums of the money they earn on medications for life, and they don't feel great physcially, and they feel lied to because they went in thinking this was safe and it wasn't. And this is on TikTok of all places.
