Why we're gonna be alright even if we lose the House.

Why we're gonna be alright even if we lose the House. | Democrats have defended the U.S. Senate. The race for the U.S. House hasn't been called yet. Democrats seem likely to lose the chamber, narrowly. So? The Senate is far more important. It's where confirmations of Presidential appointees happen, and over the past 2 years, we've seen that the Senate is where congressional policy is actually made, as House Democratic bill after bill has been sent to the Senate floor to die. The U.S. House, on the other hand, is a house of flippin' monkeys. Morons like Lauren Boebert and MTG aside, I mean that literally. The U.S. House flips, all the time. Every single seat in the House is up for re-election every 2 years, and control of the lower chamber of Congress changes quickly with the political winds, just like the Founders intended. It's likely that a tiny Republican U.S. House majority (divided deeply between MAGA and more pragmatic Republicans) will tear itself apart trying to elect a Speaker, and on controversial questions like whether to impeach Biden, let alone getting anything else done. Partial Republican control of Congress will also put Republicans partly on the hook for anything bad that might happen over the next 2 years, and may damage GOP chances in 2024 since they won't be able to run as total outsiders. | image tagged in lauren boebert marjorie taylor greene, house of representatives,congress,republicans,midterms,2022 | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

Based one, John Anzalone, whoever you are

Based one, John Anzalone, whoever you are | “We can’t let the whiners and bedwetters win,” said Democratic pollster John Anzalone. “If you’re facing historically bad headwinds and should have major losses, but you’ve made these races incredibly close, then there are a lot of key races where the Democratic messaging was working.” | image tagged in john anzalone, democrats, democrat, democratic party, election, midterms | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
