A Democratic Senate is projected, though not a sure thing.

Control of the U.S. House will be very, very close. Almost might be better looking ahead to '24 if if the Republicans win a tiny victory there only for their various factions to tear themselves apart.

For instance: Impeach Biden? Would they have the votes? Hard-right MAGA types will surely want to, but this election sends a powerful signal that most of America doesn't want that kind of pointless drama.

Would it be better to use the Jan 6 hearings to study safeguards then, rather than trying to impeach Trump?
Let the criminal proceedings deal with Trump instead.
If the end game is to impose a sentence (custodial or otherwise) it will likely be for a period that exceeds his life expectancy anyway. I think it unlikely he will live much past 80 without significant care needs.

It'll be interesting revisiting these DeSantis memes in 2024.
