Around the world, democracy has fallen on hard times. But in America, there is still a light.

It used to be that our country had two parties that were committed to the peaceful transfer of power. Even if they sharply disagreed on policy, after the votes were counted, they agreed that country came first. Since then, the Republican Party's descent into bigotry, mad conspiracy theorizing, and the cult of one man's bottomless ego has been an incalculable loss to America. But you know what? Look on the bright side. We still have one reasonable choice. A Party that believes in science, that fights for human rights, equality, a better tomorrow, and respect for all: The Democratic Party. Many people around the world don't get a good choice, or even the opportunity to vote. We still do. While the Democratic Party is not perfect, it is America's hope. Vote.
