Most don't even realize it's an important tax. I've seen tariffs blamed for the high price of locally produced eggs.

I heard some lib on TV saying that tariffs are the reason why their rent went up. Clearly they have no idea what a tariff is. The have absolutely no problem if taxes go up.

I know I'm not an expert but I have read books about economics. The crazy thing is the basics of free market economics is very easy to understand. I guess the left wants lengthy convoluted explanations or they're just not going to accept it. Well ... That's why Robert Reich has a job. He takes the easy to understand and throws that out the window and then gives you a complicated and nonsensical explanation of why Marxist economics is better.
