You pick the best person for the job, without concern about how they look or who they love, not because of how they look or who they love. He grew up as in impoverished child under HUD in Detroit,He lived it and he overcame the vicious cycle of poverty. What better person than that? If anything he was overqualified .

He grow up in Hud Housing, he is very familiar with the way Hud operated. As an adult he will have a unique perspective.
