Yes we are old lol,, I read Kurt Loder of MTV fame is going to be 80 this week, omg..

I point out to my pals that the Byran Adams song "summer of 69" is farther away from 1969 than the yr 2069 ugh ..

Did you guys goto the Franklin institute? thats the standard trip to Philly or Ind Hall, and Betsy Ross house.
My dad or uncle did wiring in the Ross house way back when.
my Dad also has antique electrical objects that are also in the Franklin institute
he collects that stuff, it was free for him as an electrician then but now the stuff is worth $$$.The stuff folks used to throw away ugh..

Those places are the best places to go in Philly along with the Mutter museum (if you are into the macbre) and also the academy of natural sciences is pretty good. Dont goto the cheese steak places in the city, they are kinda a ripoff, Tony lukes is ok on oregon ave.
The rest is just meh.

I went to DC when maybe 5th grade circa 1980, that was cool. went to the Smithsonian
I would go again but have to plan a week trip or more , just too much to see.

and the really old heads know of teh Lenape park, been gone since 75 ish, it was right on the brandywine in concord area, that whole area was owned by the duponts or wyeths at one time or another. (Yes I knew John Dupont in passing and he was macbre on a good day). My Buddys dad was the guy who talked him down, Tim Welsch sr, retired.
the house where he killed dave schutlz was painted all black and then they bull dozed it

now its just million $$ condos wtf..

If you ever get to the brandywine river area go see the Hagley museum North Delaware , just outstanding art and American history
