As far as ignoring the facts, you can see right there... the person I responded to above claimed Biden "refused to increase oil production".... (apparently as part of a plan to intentionally raise gas prices ?? )

Meanwhile oil production has been increasing from the time Biden got in until now... to the point where we actually have record level oil production. I have a chart clearly demonstrating that if you like.

The last part I wrote also references what the person I responded to above said. But that person is by no means an outlier in their opinions... It is pretty common here. This idea that Trump "made us energy independent" and Biden came in and ruined it is somewhat common... again.. in spite of us being more energy independent now than we ever were under trump.

Jobs is basically the same thing. Biden is portrayed as a "Jobs killer" meanwhile unemployment has beat trumps best number.

Anyway if you want sources or examples, be specific about which part or parts you want them for.

Releasing oil reserves to lower prices seems like a half-assed solution. Historically oil leases are at a record low. I'm not sure how to interpret all of this. I do know I'm having to pay a lot more for gas.

Sure... Biden backtracked on a few things. Some of which the right actually has no problem with at all. "The wall" would be one clear example. I think he said he wouldn't build any... But then he waived federal law to help Texas build 20 miles of wall.

As far as the SPR, trump wanted to empty half of it when he was president for the $$ and other right wingers wanted to drain it entirely...

Yes and to be clear I don't necessarily think either of them should get much credit for US "oil independence" considering it had been trending towards that for many years before either of them were in office.

Why is the Biden administration not issuing oil leases? The demand could be the reason more oil is being produced from existing wells, but I don't know that for sure. What is the Biden administration's energy policy? It doesn't seem to be very clear.

In addition to beating trumps first 2 year public land permits I'm pretty sure Biden has flip-flopped on drilling on federal lands at least once 🤔... probably to the horror of some supporters. Maybe he is trying harder to stick to campaign promises now with less of them as 2024 rolls around... Idk.

One thing that comes to mind for me (as far as oil production) is that the more expensive oil is, the more incentive oil companies have to produce it. Cheap oil is cool for us as consumers at the pump... but maybe not so cool for the people trying to sell it to us (and vice versa) if that makes sense.
