Politicians security is paid for by our taxes. Like their travel, healthcare and nearly everything else. Saying they deserve to be protected and regular Citizens don't is LITERALLY insane.

And they say at the beginning that it's the squad's campaigns paying for this.

Which means it has to come out of their campaign financing. It's not being paid by their salaries.

And the reporting is very vague after they rattle off a number on Private Security by Politician.

What does that mean? Does it mean only burly dudes in SUVs? Does that number also include campaign event/rally security? Does it also include a security system that is armed at night for their campaign office?

The reporting doesn't say. It just gives a specific name, the specific amount they paid, and gets real vague on what security means.

I still say if they have security, it's hypocritical to defund security for Citizens.

You would take away our best tools of self defense.
