Those who have told you that weapons are the danger are deceiving you. The danger is in the bad people and in the good ones who do nothing to defend themselves.

The problem is, I think there should be some kind of incentive, or rewards, for wearing them in places where there are too many unarmed people facing potential attackers.

The founders were very clear about the citizens needing to keep and bear arms. If these anti-2A types want to do something about it, they need to amend the Constitution. The founders gave them that avenue to change what the founders had done. But they're too feckless to even try. The 2nd Amendment stands!

Perhaps they ain't so bad today, as America wasn't all that bad after the revolution had been won. The 2nd Amendment deals with governments that may one day turn on its citizens, and thus will always be necessary.

As for Australia, that little gun buy back scheme of theirs only netted around 1/3rd of the guns that were in circulation, and from all accounts, more has since been added to the remaining 2/3rds.

That's incorrect, in one state they put you in a quarantine camp if you had Covid. Some people escaped quarantine and were arrested. Although I do not agree with that practice, it was not all of Australia and it had nothing to do with vaccination status. No one interned anyone who had not taken the vaccine. While it would be nice for America to ban liberals from having access to guns, criminals will always find a way to harm others, including using our poorly defended borders to bring illegal guns in.

There was a time in America when there were rifle leagues in schools, and it wasn't uncommon to see rifles/shotguns hanging in the rear windows of trucks that were driven to schools, and left in the parking lots. You would be hard-pressed to find school shootings back then.

What changed? Liberalism took over the education system, and started teaching bad ideologies, along with decades of children living in a society that says having unborn children murdered for the convenience of it is perfectly normal.

Unfortunately, freedom comes at a cost. It would be relatively easy to almost completely reduce the incidents of school shootings, while leaving the 2nd Amendment alone, but liberals cannot have that. So long as this society is armed, many of their desires to remake America into a Communist hell cannot be easily implemented.

America thwarted you Brits and your empire building intentions, with only around 3% of its citizens taking up arms and fighting against oppression. Those who cannot think beyond the end of their noses do not understand how freedom is won, and then kept- it is always someone else's job to do the difficult work.
