Apart from the alleged recent "studies", *science* says there is no link whatsoever in reducing the spread of infectious disease, and as I already pointed out, 60+ years of science.
It is astonishing to see how gullible liberals are. It's not like you all weren't wearing/still wearing these masks, so you should have been able to see the serious flaws in the function of them. There is a reason why better masks were invented- the basic ones everyone was wearing do not work as intended.
Surgical masks were designed to prevent large droplets from getting into an open surgical wound. And just like Faxuci told us, they might make you feel better if you wear them, but they do not work. Of course, you will tell me he was just lying *that time* because supply of PPE was a concern. Except, at the time he said that, this was not the case.
*Everyone was wearing masks- it still spread (allegedly), and rapidly at that.
*Hospitals were never overwhelmed, any more so than they would have been at a specific time of year with other diseases, like the flu.
*The Flu didn't just magically disappear, as all the other upper respiratory diseases didn't disappear.
*You believe that the Flu was stopped by the masks, but Covid was not.
*The vaccines do not stop contraction and spread of Covid, or whatever disease is being misdiagnosed as Covid today.
