I'm pretty sure there were cases and deaths in the US before Feb 2020, but I agree with what I think you're saying, in that we should stick to official numbers.
Using official numbers, shouldn't we be able to come up with date ranges to make a legitimate comparison between Trump and Biden on the covid issue? I would think so.
Regardless, Biden ran mainly on the covid issue, and the promise of getting covid under control, which he clearly has not done yet. This, in spite of having multiple vaccines in place when he took office. So the reason he hasn't gotten it under control shouldn't matter, right? He said he was going to do it, and it's not done. That's a broken promise, right?
