bruh how is this possible. so there was this one plane that was allegedly heading the the white house or congress, but it crashed in a pennsyl field because apparently and luckily some passengers took control of the aircraft from the terrorists. damn not even dream is that lucky. but as it happens, good ol' dubya was not in the white house; he was famously reading a book to schoolchildren to benefit his pr. huh!?!?!?!?!?! iSn'T tHaT a CoInCiDeNcE!?!?!?!?!?!?!



that's not even scratching the surface. turns out that seth mcfarlane was a couple minutes late to one of the flights that would've crashed into the twin towers. i hear you gasping right now. was george w bush trying to take family guy off the air? did he somehow know that seth mcfarlane would make the awful movie A Million Ways to Die in the West over a decade later?!?!?! and that having some extra flights diverted to the pentagon/congress would be the ultimate coverup? and isn't it funny how we're now in various endless wars after this event? why was george w bush dead set on launching the iraq war as well as ending family guy???

The Twin Towers went down such that we could destabilize the middle east and to win daddies war he couldn't win.  That's why the focus went to Saddam Hussein and WMDs (that were never found).

That's hardly a fair way to count since Trump was at the helm until Jan 20, and especially given that people didn't start dying until February.



Jan 19 2020 - 429,935 deaths



So, since then, 363,716 people have died of COVID. I'd say we are on course to beat those numbers, but it hasn't happened yet.

You've said it twice, and I'm not able to follow.  People have been dying of covid since late 2019.

The first official COVID death in the US was Feb 29 2020. While there were deaths internationally, they weren't in the US yet.  There is some argument about whether there were cases and deaths before then, but that's the official number.

Okay, got it.  Thanks.  I think I was somehow getting the years mixed up in what you were saying.  Every now and then my 'keen grasp of the obvious' goes into sleep mode!



I'm pretty sure there were cases and deaths in the US before Feb 2020, but I agree with what I think you're saying, in that we should stick to official numbers.



Using official numbers, shouldn't we be able to come up with date ranges to make a legitimate comparison between Trump and Biden on the covid issue?  I would think so.



Regardless, Biden ran mainly on the covid issue, and the promise of getting covid under control, which he clearly has not done yet.  This, in spite of having multiple vaccines in place when he took office.  So the reason he hasn't gotten it under control shouldn't matter, right?  He said he was going to do it, and it's not done.  That's a broken promise, right?

I'm not sure he had any idea about his hesitant people would be to get vaccinated, but you could argue that doesn't matter - he ran on it.



The vaccinated death rate is much lower, so I could argue that it's harm is greatly reduced for the majority of us at this point.



Based on numbers in Europe and what this time last year looked like, I think we are about to see a rough couple of months.

Ohhh so you're saying compare Feb 2020 to Jan 2021 with Feb 2021 to Jan 2022.... Right?

I'm saying if you want to compare year to year, that would be more fair, though you aren't going to be able to find a really fair comparison.



Feb 2020 we were starting at zero cases and February 1st 2021 we had 8.86 Million active cases. The other side of that is we have vaccines, medical staff who now know how to handle COVID, and good testing. We didn't have any of that early on in 2020.



If I were to be placing bets, I think Feb-Jan 2021 is going to surpass Feb-Jan 2020 . Right now, if you look at the 7 day average, we have about 1000 people a day dying of COVID which would put us on target to be at 861,000 deaths by February, which would put 2021 deaths above 2020 by a few thousand. 



While deaths per day has been on a decline, I don't see a way cases and deaths don't go up with the holidays. But that is my amateur opinion.

429K deaths where 150K (there about) were senior citizens that had multiple problems.  Which really you can't count because they would have died off anyway with how people only last so long.



I would arguably say it's just as much under control as it was under Trump.  And also argue that we have Trump and Biden combined to thank for that.



Not Biden's vaxxMandate - but his continued efforts on what Trump put in motion

I think its pretty easy to establish that those people wouldn't have died anyway.  If you look at total US deaths per year. It seldom changes by more than 2% each year.  In 2020 the death rate increased by 15.9%. I'm not saying that all of the people who died would have lived, but to say that 150K of them would have died of other causes would mean that we have something else that killed far more people than it would have on any other year.
