Up-voted. Indeed there cannot be any doubt that the U.S. citizens coldly left abandoned over there because of Biden's rank incompetence now sincerely wish that Trump were still president.

MY cousin was deployed in Afghanistan for 2 years and he couldn't believe what he saw. HE felt so bad for the people in Kabul. WE should have Trump as our president because he could've dealed with Afghanistan better than Biden

Indeed

The only hope we have now for Trump to be president is if he wins the 2024 election

Technically if Republicans take the house and senate in ‘22, then Trump can constitutionally be elected speaker of the house, then impeach Biden and Harris and there we go. It never stated in the constitution that the speaker had to be a member of the House.

I wonder why

And that’s a true story.
1 up, 3y,

Why?

He literally had 4 years to fix this?

In fact, it was his administration that locked the deal in with the Taliban. Remember? The one he's been bragging about?

Should Biden be criticized for the withdraw? Yeah. He's the President. It's part of the gig.

But know how it got started and be honest about it.

And the guy who wanted to ban Muslims from entering the country, you think he would have brought in a bunch of people from Afghanistan? Honestly?

You really think that?

Trump had a plan with the taliban that he would get the military out of there, and that the taliban would not interfere with the Afghanistan people. If the taliban attacked people in Afghanistan, then the us military would come back and put some harsh force. Then we just kept them in there instead.
Biden just yoinked out the military and let the taliban do whatever.

Because a major democracy has a major fascist political party.

Seeing what is going on in Australia today with lockdowns, forced vaccinations of children, the violent shutdown of protests by the military, and closed cities, I would not be talking about any other government being fascist. The pot and kettle are laughing.

You don't know what fascism is, do you?

You don't know what facts are, either. We don't have forced vaccinations.

Australians are not allowed to leave the country, return to it, go out of their homes for longer than an hour, socialize or shop.

A totalitarian government that forces people to stay in their homes, beats people in the street for peacefully protesting, has military patrolling the streets beating people for being outside, has set up forced quarantine camps, is fascist.

It is being reported that 24,000 children are being forced to get the jab without parent consent.

Fake, no. Just something the corporate media wouldn't report on.

Just like the COVID concentration camps being built. Police shooting rescue dogs.

This is what a totalitarian state does.

When people ask "how could the German people let it happen, why did they not stop the NAZIs", now we see easy people will accept it.

It's standard for the sick to quarantine during a pandemic.
0 ups, 3y
No no no. My question was "why can't you be a good Australian and mind your own business?" I honestly think it is because Australians are too cowards and lazy to lift their fingers to help other nation, just like you who only come here to harras people because you are protected by the moderators if this site. Aint that the truth, cowardice.

Maybe, maybe not.

At least the plan Trump outlined sounded better; threaten the Taliban with fire and fury, then evacuate all Americans, then remove our equipment, then blow up bases, and finally remove our troops.

Sounds more logical than Joe's plan of removing the troops first, leaving all equipment to re-arm the Taliban, and then asking the Taliban not to hurt us as we try and get our citizens out.

Joe had seven months to complete Trumps's plan, but went with his own plan instead, which did nothing but piss off the Taliban by delaying.

He not only pissed off the Taliban but also our NATO allies. It was so bad, the U.K. Parlament voted to hold Joe in contempt, a historical first and something never done to a U.S. President.

Trump literally planned and negotiated the withdrawal WITH THE TALIBAN! And the Afghan army is more than capable and superior to the Taliban, why the f**k did they just roll over and why the f**k are they not being blamed and condemned?
0 ups, 3y,
1 reply
Yes, President Trump did negotiate with the Taliban. He had conditions, a shared government, not attacking American troops or citizens, and no taking additional territory by force. When they broke one of the conditions, Trump had them bombed and they stopped.

President Trump also had a plan on the order of withdrawal, first, removing citizens, destroying equipment, destroying bases, then lastly, removing the troops. Biden did everything wrong. Biden did not follow Trump's plan, he ignored Trump's agreement with the Taliban, and changed the dates, pissing off the Taliban leadership.

As far as the Afgan military, without American leadership, the Afgan army is a joke. Most of the members of the Army were only there to get a paycheck. They were not dedicated to the country, government, or democracy. The Afgan leadership and government are corrupt top to bottom, so the soldiers were not going to die for them.

Nobody is faulting the Biden/Harris regime for following President Trump's desire to get out of Afghanistan. Biden is being ridiculed and hammered for the abysmal execution of the withdrawal, lack of communication and coordination with our allies, and the total lack of planning.

9 ups, 3y,

Citizens were there on their own free will, and they were in no danger while the US troops where there. When Trump was in power we did not have the issues we are facing at this moment, Biden is in power now or did you forget. Biden is the one that pull the troops out without thinking about the consequences, Americans lives or other people's lives for that matter. Biden just did what he was told because his job is to do what the puppet master tells him to do, Biden's job is not to think but just be moved by the strings.

Biden did the opposite of what he was told by the experts. Whether his puppet master forced his had or not, he is the President. This is on his watch and he holds the blame.

Exactly Biden indeed did the action, he is the one to blame. High five.

He made an agreement to pull out as long as there were no attacks on Americans. This is that deal and it's still working... so far.. Even Biden gave credit to this deal ... so this is the litmus test of the deal

what's happening now as been running for a while. Seems to be going to plan - unless shots are fired... then who's to blame ?
0 ups, 3y
Trumps deal was not everything’s ok unless shots are fired. We left our largest airbase in the middle of the night without advance warning to our allies. Nor would it have allowed Taliban takeover of all of the capitals.

Part of the deal was the leave date was in May, not August.

I agree to some level that Trump was too hugs and kisses with Russia but on the other hand, do you think the 2 countries that have 90% of all nukes should be pointing bombs at each other or should they be at peace?

The other problem is the rest of your criticism is isolated incidents, not policy. On policy he’s been quite successful which you’re either ignoring completely or have never heard of when listening to MSM.

Reduced reliance on China, increased support for Taiwan, brokered peace deals in the middle east, moved a US embassy to Israel with bipartisan approval, successfully killed Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, reversed the JCPOA, exited the IRNFT, foreign aid reforms, and a lot more.

The fact is, President Joe Biden and his predecessor, Donald Trump, were both eager to withdraw U.S. troops from Afghanistan and end what Biden referred to in his Aug. 16 speech as “America’s longest war.”

The Trump administration in February 2020 negotiated a withdrawal agreement with the Taliban that excluded the Afghan government, freed 5,000 imprisoned Taliban soldiers and set a date certain of May 1, 2021, for the final withdrawal.

And the Trump administration kept to the pact, reducing U.S. troop levels from about 13,000 to 2,500, even though the Taliban continued to attack Afghan government forces and welcomed al-Qaeda terrorists into the Taliban leadership.
