It was made pre-2016, so the world wasn't this asinine R vs D thingy yet with everything separated and labeled accordingly.
It's about the lower browed outbreeding those with higher IQs and aspirations and thus taking over. The Bush-isms and FOX News does point fingers, but again, this was made BC Trump Era, so that's more about a 'certain demographic' than party registration card patches sewn on our lapels with talk about civil war because snowflake feelz.

Boring movie, amusing to an extent but I'd never watch it again. But it's a laugh to conflate it to conservatives when it's the progressives that decided failing students was mean to their feelz and lowered the standards to appease the morons and the lazy. Entire high schools with not one student at grade 12 math level.

To offer some background, early in the movie it shows a small town low brow hs quarterback who gets his injured nutsack saved so he can go on to sire a ton of equally stupid dead end kids with trailer park honies feuding over him and how they propagated to the max while an edumacated nerdy city couple too busy with their PhD careers to have children finally try to get around to it in their late 30s but can't, thus the world is taken over by - wait for it - idiots and them smart folks become extincticateded.
Science has focused on nothings like treatments for erectile disfunction and baldness and that is the end of advancement in that field and tech.
Also, corporations have taken over to the extent that even drinking water is replaced by Brawndo, a Gatorade type drink, and people get college degrees at Home Depot.

Last but not least, FOX News - as seen in the above pic - is the ONLY news, and the mental level is kinda like a caricature of it today to the nth degree on roids.
