"they use facts" uh no they don't. The more biased something is, the more likely it is to use emotions.
And besides, you still shouldn't lay on someone's neck for almost 9 minutes, ESPECIALLY if they can't breath and if they are now willing to do anything for you to stop.
Yes, some media stirs up emotions. But that's the inherent nature of the story. Take a story from Fox, CNN, and CBC as an example. Fox, as our right-bias source a little while ago, aired a story on how a governor flouted COVID rules. I will admit, this is a well done of them, if the story is true, problem is I don't know that. They had an even tone, and didn't actually show all too much bias. Yet, the story made many people feel mad. That's because of the NATURE OF THE STORY, which, by the way, was cherry picked.
Next, we take CNN as our left-bias source. CNN has a story on their website about CPAC, where they decided to say that at CPAC the speakers said that COVID regulations tampered with your freedom. Again, not using many loaded words, pretty even-looking tone. But it still made me angry. Why? The nature of the story again. Oh, and it was also cherry picked, not gonna lie.
Next, we take CBC as our least biased source. Now I'm not sure if you're aware of this, but here in Canada we have a controversial bill called bill C-10, which aims to put the people who regulate our TV and Radio in charge, at least in part, of the Internet. Basically they can do things such as make sure 50% of the stuff we see is Canadian. So anyway, the CBC has a story online on this, which again doesn't use loaded words nor any capitalization or anything. Now this article also makes you feel angry, because of the article itself. The subject matter is how the government could limit freedom of speech. I would say they didn't cherry pick this.
The thing with left-bias and right-bias organizations both, is that they either feed into or go against your views.
So if you think COVID isn't bad, and a right-bias site says COVID isn't bad, then you'll be like, "Yeah, I'm not angry. That's reasonable." Now if you were to go to an organization like CBC, CNBC, NBC, ABC, CTV, basically mostly unbiased organizations, you might see COVID is bad. This makes you angry, naturally, because it goes against your views. Same with CNN to the "mainstream" media.
It's because they make you think they use facts, and you believe them for whatever reason, that makes you think suddenly that the "mainstream" media is propaganda.
