If he did talk about it you'd probably call him a nutjob obsessed with conspiracy theories. So how would your line of logic work if he did talk about it? I'm legitimately curious, as your proposal seems right to me, but somewhat contradictory. I'm just trying to open up a conversation and have no intent to insult.
