The covid's a special disease. It's so powerful it killed the common cold and flu!
Plus it's smart! It knows where you are and what party you're with! It'll kill you if you go to work, or church or a political rally. But it won't hurt you if you crowd into a walmart of go to a riot and burn down a city.
Heck of a disease! 🦇🦇🦇

Normally, nobody wears masks and social distances during flu season so the rate of flu spread is significantly lower (not non existent) than usual. The flu is also not as contagious as Covid.

the point of this meme, is that Covid is basically the flu. the hospitals are calling the flu "covid" and so of course there can be a lot more cases reported, and a lot more convenient drama.

I'll need some more evidence to even believe there's a "frightening stronger strain".
I am more believing that people are just lacking Vitamin D levels and because now they're not working and can't afford better quality food and vitamins, that they're even more susceptible to flus.

It's all over the news. Google's your friend.
1 up, 3y
If Google and the news say it it must be true. So, Epstein clearly committed suicide and there were so many WMD's in Iraq that we had no choice but to kill a couple million Iraqis, correct?
0 ups, 3y
What is all over the news? Actual evidence that there's a "frightening stronger strain" ?

Where? I've seen headlines and have read articles, they offer no evidence that there's a "frightening stronger strain", like I said, I'm more believing that people are just lacking Vitamin D levels and because now they're not working and can't afford better quality food and vitamins, that they're even more susceptible to flus.

Even at 3.18 million, that is still less than 1% of the US population. Are these the same sources that told us about WMD to justify killing a couple of million Iraqis or that still insist Epstein killed himself under incredible circumstances in his cell? If I had a girlfriend that lied to me this much I would never believe anything she said. Wait until you see what is coming in the next few months and have to accept that we all allowed it to happen by not pushing back. Best of luck to you and stay safe. I will be spending Christmas with my kids and grandkids and I will be hugging them more than ever.

Darko_yolo is being facetious by arguing numeral semantics. He could have taken into consideration of your 2.8m number was from a few weeks earlier.

This is a HUGE issue with leftists, they get stuck on one or two words, or a few numbers, and ignore the "meat" of the argument and go for the bones instead.
1 up, 3y
I am using the number from http://www.usalivestats.com/

I am not sure it is 100% accurate but it has been a reliable, respected site in the past. Finding current true numbers is not easy.

The "meat" of their argument seemed to be horse sh*t with the intent of downplaying the virus.. I mean there was literally nothing else there beyond an incorrect "fact".

I corrected it.

"You seem to be flat out assuming there were more ebola deaths in the US than were reported... Let me know when you have actual facts & sources."

-- Yea cause you're superman and can see every single nearly 100 nurses that worked on Duncan and then were flown around the country and see where/when/if they were infected or not, and if the numbers were suppressed or not.

You're magical. Let me know when you have proof that they weren't infected, and that they didn't infect anyone else.

As I stated.. 2 were infected. They didn't die. One of them sued the hospital.
0 ups, 3y
"As I stated.. 2 were infected." -- That you KNOW of, or were reported on.

(Here's a point that you keep ignoring)
There's no telling how much CDC allowed Ebola to spread when they immediately flew around the 100+ nurses that had just worked on Thomas Duncan in Texas, that was melting on the hospital bed, stacks of urine and feces bags, to the ceiling. Not following CDC's own protocol of using a Bio Safety Level 4 and above.

By a 99.9% survival rate, isn't the data showing it should be downplayed?
We didn't lockdown small businesses for Ebola, and there's no telling how much CDC allowed Ebola to spread when they immediately flew around the 100+ nurses that had just worked on Thomas Duncan in Texas, that was melting on the hospital bed, stacks of urine and feces bags, to the ceiling. Not following CDC's own protocol of using a Bio Safety Level 4 and above.

Also your ebola argument is a joke... I can literally count how many people died of ebola in the US on 1 hand.

To do that for covid I would need about 64,000 hands.

Why thank you. Now address my point logically and honestly.
A 99.9% survival rate, isn't the data showing it should be downplayed?
0 ups, 3y
Should it be downplayed? No.

First of all look up the word "downplay" and then ask yourself if anything should ever be downplayed.

Second of all that "survival rate" applies to the entire population... In the US's case, a population of hundreds of millions of people.

If the survival rate decreased to 99.7% that number itself would still seem insignificant change.... but for the US it would mean nearly a million dead people.
0 ups, 3y,

" I can literally count how many people died of ebola in the US on 1 hand." --- That you know of. If you blindly believe that not one of the 100 nurses that CDC flew around the nation just after handling Thomas Duncan, were infected, and not one of them ever spread it onto someone else, in the hospitals they worked in, just after being flown around, then you have a deep mental incapability.
1 up, 3y
1st of all...Unlike Covid, Ebola is not airborne. 100 nurses could have theoretically handled Thomas Duncan and not caught it.

2nd... Ebola has a higher death rate than covid but it isn't necessarily a death sentence. Nina Pham and Amber Vinson both caught it from Thomas Duncan and survived.

3rd... You seem to be flat out assuming there were more ebola deaths in the US than were reported... Let me know when you have actual facts & sources.
Facts not feelings....right?

I feel sorry for you that you're too afraid to admit that it wasn't such a smart idea to immediately fly around the 100+ nurses to other hospitals, nurses that had just worked on Thomas Duncan in Texas, that was melting on the hospital bed, stacks of urine and feces bags, to the ceiling. Not following CDC's own protocol of using a Bio Safety Level 4 and above.

Lol I don't know why you think I even give any f*cks about that. You want me to call the hospital dumb or blame Obama? Where are you even going with this argument???

I mean you're claiming they underreported ebola cases.... in context of an argument about (allegedly) overreporting Covid cases.
1 up, 3y,

Yeah our corrupt government would NEVER over-report lesser pathogen or under-report greater pathogen. My fault. You're right, they're all Saints in charge.
1 up, 3y,

The head of our government is on record claiming to have been downplaying the virus. It seems quite apparent that he, nor his government, can control the msm.... let alone hospitals. Theoretically I think it could be argued that trump could control the department of HHS (which is where Covid case/death data is now going directly to (instead of the CDC))... And yet somehow essentially the entire msm is still reporting massive increases in cases, & deaths.

Trump is now a lame duck president anyway so the "the msm is hyping covid to make him look bad so he won't get re-elected " motivation argument kind of fell apart considering the quarter million case per day spike was about a month after the election.

I know about 10 people in or within 1 degree of separation from my own family who have either died from covid or had to be hospitalized from severe complications from it. The msm didn't trick me into believing that nor did the corrupt government.

Not saying our elected officials are saints .. just saying if you're going to claim Covid or ebola numbers are a hoax, I'm going to need more than speculation from some random anon on the internet.
