Oh certainly.
- As others have mentioned, his treatment of John McCain was disgusting.
- He's obviously a man who once had little moral character and acted as such, though I think he's grown somewhat more responsible when Melania and children entered the picture.
- His policy with North Korea started out very well, but he gave too much away with his Twitter account, and not at the negotiating table.
- The U.S COVID response was deeply flawed at all levels, and claiming Trump was perfect is laughably wrong.
- Tear gassing rioters to hold up a Bible was rather hypocritical...
- He's just a jerk. Look at him and how he operates; being pugnacious and acrimonious are second nature. Why do you think he lost the election? 81 million people decided they didn't like him, and it takes a serious personality to generate such resentment. Now, obviously some portion of the hatred he receives is blind and unsupported by fact, but a very good measure of it is fully warranted.
I could go on. Personally though, I supported him because:
- More countries are paying their minimum NATO contribution fee.
- He absolutely thrashed ISIS.
- He didn't involve us in any new foreign conflicts.
- He's developing trade relationships with India and defense contracts with Taiwan, which will work wonders to curtail Chinese moves towards hegemony.
- He's pulling us out of Afghanistan, which is something we should have done a long time ago.
- He brokered peace and recognition between Israel and multiple powerful Arab countries.
- He rebuilt significant portions of the military and regained the good faith of many service members.
- He cut tax rates, which helps businesses at all levels. High taxes, in practice, only seem to help large companies by choking out their less wealthy competition.
- He's Pro-Life, which for me is a big win.
