Given the rabid response of the left to Trump, I think it is fair for those on the right to question individual commitment to the integrity of the vote. I'm not saying that Trump hasn't in some cases justified their rage. I do think that Pelosi and Schumer have set an abominable example. Their pedantic responses to Trump have brought them down to his level and proven that they are incapable of behaving better than those they abhor. You can't beat Trump by playing his game. I doubt it will help anyone. If you have to warn people to make sure they're dropping their ballot off at a legitimate "official ballot drop box", then it's too late already.

As a lawyer, you *should* know that accused does not equal guilty.

The issue couldn't be simpler. If something can happen, it will. Since 'massive ballot fraud' can happen, it will. Massive is relative, but if we look at the last election, it wouldn't take a particularly massive effort to change the outcome in a state or two.

btw, KF, I assume you've been keeping up with this story.

Two things to note, imo:

1. The CA GOP has pretty much told our exalted AG, Xavier Becerra, to go pound sand.

2. As it relates to #1, you are aware (aren't you?) that in CA, ballot harvesting is not only legal, but the law does not prescribe how the ballots are to be secured between the time they're collected and when they're dropped off at whatever official location does the counting. So as long as they're turned in within 72 hours (I believe that's the time limit, but not entirely certain), no law has been broken.

In other words, the Taxifornia Republican Party plans to defy cease-and-desist order, and won't remove unofficial ballot boxes. So go suck it Xavier Becerra, ya big Ass Klown.
