no where it says we have to be tolerant of bad behavior. Don't know why that "tolerance" catch phrase became so popular.

The left got it wrong, or more likely, they are deliberately misusing the word "Tolerant".

To be "Tolerant" means to "Tolerate", it doesn't mean to "Blindly accept anything, however preposterous".

Because back in the day when liberals, not leftists, but liberals were actually tolerant, they blathered on with that endlessly. How hilarious is that now!

I was tolerant when it meant to live and let live, but when you changed the definition to, total acceptance, acquiescence, and emulation, that is where I draw the line.

well, my key word was tolerant of bad behavior, but they did pushed it all the way from tolerance of bad behavior to total acceptance.
