Her district (NY-14) has a median household income that's very close to the national median. It also has a median home value that's over twice the national median. The biggest industries, as far as number of people employed, are retail and food service. To get anywhere close to $50k in retail and food service, you have to have more than one job, and you can't buy a $500k home with a $50k income. Hell, you can't buy that home with a dual income household at $100k.

I'm not a millennial, I'm gen x. The boomers are doing well, and gen x is finally catching up (now that we're in our 40s and 50s), but millennials are struggling big time. Try talking to one, maybe? Like, in real life.
