Enlighten me on who has the heaviest gun laws?
Yes bought on streets. Didn't have to put money in slot, got product without getting stuck in machine.

Your statement may have been true about 10 years ago before the scotus struck down their gun ban.. but I think currently it's California. (42 more gun laws than Illinois. )
Well.. uh.. i hope the feds aren't reading this?

Fair enough. Even without research, I could see where California would have the most laws than ANY other state when it comes to controlling people's rights. It's what they do.

I was leaning more towards specific cities and high gun violence. Surely Chicago must be at the top of murder rate. Either way, I thought the original meme was funny and replied in such with satire. Doesn't affect me either way.

I have always and will always be a proud gun-owner and concealed-carry protector of myself and family. Don't give a flying F**K what the government says or dictates. The only thing that does is determine if I am a criminal or not in their eyes. In my eyes, the 2nd Amendment gives me all I need.

That argument is commonly used by gun advocates. Allow me to tell you why it is incorrect. I haven't seen you on in a long time, so before I spend time typing an argument just reply if your still on

The constitution can be repealed. I am willing to think of why the founding fathers penned the second amendment. However, just because something is in the Constitution isn't a full argument for it when there are great points against gun control.

The great points you speak of are not required, she. The highest law of the land says "... the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
Words have meanings, and the word SHALL if definitive and leave no room for misinterpretion. And the rest of the Second Amendment give the reason why. There is no further argument required against gun control. Research why Japan never invaded the mainland United States during World War 2 and IS the exact reason the founding fathers worded the Second Amendment the way they did with those intended results.

That research is almost certainly bogus. https://www.factcheck.org/2009/05/misquoting-yamamoto/

And the Constitution needs reason. The amendments can be repealed for a reason. The reason the founding fathers added that is to give citizens power to take arms against the government. Now the government has tanks and missiles. Should civilians have tanks and missiles?

https://thelawdictionary.org/arms/
According to Blacks Law Dictionary (2nd edition -linked) arms does include those sort of munitions and weapons for war. While I do not think it is a problem for a person to own them, I do not think everyone should own one. Same as not everyone should be driving, or free to roam in society, or procreate. But only two of those are regulated for now. And there are not many people who have that sort of disposable money or the skill set to use it if they buy it.

I just looked up. You are right. You can buy a tank, grenade launcher, or military grade machine gun. It just requires tons of paperwork and fees. Im still not sure guns should be available. We have so many checks and balances that it seems foolish to keep these murder sticks legal. But really Idk

There are a good amount of checks and balances around the purchase of firearms and other specialized accessories. And it is a system that is not completely infallible because it relies on people. But the law enforcement system is for enforcing laws, and cannot protect everyone all the time. I don't know about you, but I know nobody has a vested interest in the safety of my family and myself like I do. So why would I rely on someone else for my safety, that is why I don't. I take the safety of my family and I upon myself and I'll leave the enforcement of laws to the people who do that. I have researched and understand self defense laws and I choose to take the responsibility of making life and death decisions in split seconds and I am ready to held accountable by the law enforcement system should I make the wrong decision, and for my family, it is worth it. And if you are there, and in the same peril, I would step in at the point. And there are millions of people like me out there. All more firearm restrictions will do is remove the element of unknown (to criminals) and unseen (by all) until the need for them to step in arises. This will leave everyone in more susceptible to crime, because criminals don't follow the laws and can best be deterred by not knowing who amongst their intended victims is ready to stop them.

In some, if not most, states any type of domestic violence conviction automatically makes you unable to buy a gun legally. Unfortunately, there are other channels.

Just my opinion: If someone is too dangerous to own a gun, they're too dangerous to be outside of prison

3 seems like a good cutoff.

Gun vending machines?! You know how much crime would escalate if those things existed?! Christ. It's like you want the country to destroy itself from the inside.

That machine accepts only 1$ bills, so the gun would still be a little difficult to obtain. :D
