It's partly systemic racism, partly bad hiring and training policies. Many of these videos are literally triggered police acting out against someone who is not an immediate threat, but maybe talked back. The myth is that white people are more polite and smart around police. If the police could only treat black suspects like white suspects, we wouldn't have to see any videos of police beating people up.

Again, you're assuming every cop is bad. You take one incident of a bad cop doing something bad to someone and assume every cop is bad. You also assume that the majority of cops shooting unarmed civilians is higher in the black community, or disproportionate to the number of blacks vs whites. The statistics don't support your theory.

Cops are human. There are good cops and bad cops.

Their training is bad. They've apparently been taught that maximum force (murder) is an appropriate response to every threat level. It's not. They need to be trained to de-escalate.

I'm sure it does happen. The media either doesn't report on it because who cares if it's a white man? Or they do and the viewers of the media don't care either. All anyone cares about is if it's cop on black crime. And like I said. There are far more cops doing their job properly than there are bad cops. And that's only because they only report on the bad cops.

Really. Fox News would love to use it to prove that the police treat unarmed white men the same as they do unarmed black men. You know there'd be white people up in arms putting their videos all over the place saying, "see, it's equal, it's just standard police procedure." Yeah, I don't buy that it's happening and someone's somehow suppressing it. That would be conservative gold against the racial bias argument.

Even better, there are cases - videos even - of whites reprimanding and even slapping and attacking cops without getting themselves killed.

Because the mainstream media continues to paint a picture of lies that all cops are bad and racist and are shooting colored people in the back and these minorities are peaceful citizens doing absolutely nothing wrong. And the fact we had a president that continued to perpetuate the same lies for 8 years. This is the end result of having a racist president in office for 8 years and having the same racist media continue covering for him.

Police need to hire better, train better, and hold their finest to a higher standard simply because we do expect them to carry lethal weapons and protect everyone. I love and appreciate police, and as a taxpayer, I pay them to administer laws fairly. But one unarmed person walking or running away getting shot, or a guy who tells police he has a legal right to a gun getting shot in his car, or people getting beat up because they were being rude should not be happening.

People are not protesting the arrests of 'minority' criminals, thay are protesting a historic pattern of killing people who had not commited a crime, or of using excessive force when the person had their hands up and wasn't moving or was already subdued or even arrested.

People think they can get a pass if they just play the race card. Police officers are people, they make mistakes, yes genocide is a real thing, but start to trust the force and you will be respected by authorities.
