Paul didn't actually forbid women from speaking in church meetings (see 1st Corinthians 11:5). He also reminded both men AND women to be silent during meetings when others were giving sermons or bearing their testimonies (1st Corinthians 14:28, 30). It may be that Paul was trying to correct a situation in which some Corinthian women were gabbing during worship services, or were trying to usurp the priesthood authority that belongs to God's sons. Men can no more usurp the divine role of motherhood.

God gives men the priesthood authority to run His Church. And He gives women capabilities to round out His Church. "Men and women have different but equally valued roles. Just as a woman cannot conceive a child without a man, so a man cannot fully exercise the power of the priesthood to establish an eternal family without a woman. ...In the eternal perspective, both the procreative power and the priesthood power are shared by husband and wife."

I'm pretty sure you got that wrong, it is God made us equal, but gave us different roles. Just like men is not to give birth, neither is woman to lead spiritually, unless there is something going on really wrong as it was in the case for Deborah who God used her to shame her husband who refused to fulfill his role. Sounds to me that you go to a female lead church that none of the men there have the guts to step up to their role.

The Lord didn't condone cannibalism. Nor did He control the Jews' free will.

Part of God's plan is to allow evil and suffering to occur on Earth, so that the righteous may be thoroughly tested, and so that His judgments upon the wicked will be just (Alma 60:13).

I thought I was pretty clear that God made us equal, but gave us different roles. Just like men is not to give birth, neither is woman to preside in church. I don't understand how you got a completely different message from my post.

Marriage is a choice, it is not mandatory and a requirement to live with someone happy the rest of your life... wise up.

Well.... when you put it like that, marriage seems rather bleak.
I admit, for a single guy I am quite torn over the concept of marriage. I have days where I think how great it would be living with someone I love and who loves me too. And then I have more negative days where I think relationships are not like that anymore. That there is no love, no caring. No to mention the divorce rates! Many of which by couples who don't even make it a year! People say they love each other in the beginning, what happened? Do they even know what love is? Or has modern society destroyed that part of us?

I guess my thoughts on marriage is a matter of reality VS really like it to be.
