Does it interest you that this meme has 99 upvotes when I see it on my feed but it only has 96 on the image page?

Sometimes it happens as a sort of glitch. It's not even a glitch, but more of the fact that it hasn't fully updated. Sort of like when there's 6 upvotes on a meme but only 2 views.

If you could make a few accounts and coordinate with someone else that has multiple accounts and then downvote someone's meme early on, it can be put back into submission form that is featured.

I've mentioned this a while back, even mentioning it in the feedback section, and got nothing. I think it's not really necessary to have them sent into submission from downvoting, but I do know why they have that feature.

A couple of things: You are correct that down voting should not push an approved meme back to submission - that happens to be censorship and is thus inconsistent with the site claim of supporting freedom of expression. Users should not be able to censor other users.

Second, if there is to be a down vote (dislike) capability, then it really should be a visible statistic. So people can see where their memes really stand.

This whole anti-downvotes thing is one of the most candy-assed snowflake whimper fests I've ever heard of!!

Candy-assed snowflake whimper fest is a great word for it. Downvotes never actually hurt anyone. At worst, they can only hurt people's pride and imaginary entitlement when their oh-so-precious meme went back to submitted.

Downvotes are the only way smart people have to try and stop those using alts to make themselves popular! If they claim to be downvoted a lot it's because they know they have been figured out and have to alt upvote their own memes before they feature now to still manipulate the system!

Maybe that's what others are doing, but some of us without alts can be DV'd into oblivion by some bitter a*holes with half a dozen alts. If it means so much to others to be "popular" by upvoting their own stuff, it will tell in the quality of their memes that get frontpage. If the memes are total shit, then it may be suspect.

I expected many more users to stick up for a guy who makes the front page with every meme he makes. Where are his boat load of fans? If they were real they would be whining about all this like you are wouldn't they?

You can throw a big fit and try to act like reality isn't what it is. Support somebody who has already given up because he knows he has been caught. Nobody is going to attack you for being wrong. Nobody is going to try and make you look bad you do that fine on your own. There is no crime in being wrong. There is no penalty for having your head up your ass. People can make up their own minds without you. Since the only place your opinion is thought important is inside your own head.

I would call both DashHopes and isayisay prolific memers who interact with just about everyone. Dash has about twice the submissions, about twice the creations, about twice the points. The proof has been there for all to see for a long time now. Nobody cares if you believe it or not. Are not going to tell you how he got caught so that you or others can use that information not to get caught later.

You throw out dash's name when if he got accused of something like this his many fans would stand up for him. You don't want to believe something everybody else does for whatever reason.
