The BACKFIRE Effect – When confronted with contradictory evidence, LEFTY MUST DOUBLE DOWN on their beliefs instead of reconsidering; Breaking out of Motivated Reasoning requires INTELLECTUAL INTEGRITY, CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS, HUMILITY, & EXPOSURE to DIVERSE VIEWPOINTS.
