1. Yes, we could ignore the politics in previous seasons because the quality of the show was good enough that we didn't really care about the writers bashin' Republicans. The recent season, on the other hand, is too "In Your Face" to be enjoyable.
2. No. We, the audience, want to be entertained, not to be preached at by Hollywood.
3. People loved Helldivers because it was awesome and fun. People loved Fallout because it was a fun little adventure in the post-apocalypse with lore that flushes out the world. What people hate is current day political bullshit bein' pushed on them.
4. Avatar The Last Airbender couldn't be made today.
