DO PEOPLE ASK YOU FOR PROOF OF GOD? [3 of 3]
Here's another fulfilled prophecy from God: In the book of Ezekiel, Amos predicted the city of Tyre would be attacked by many nations, its fortresses would fail, their stones, timber, and soil would be thrown into the sea, and the remains of the city would be used to spread fishing nets. By now you know it happened just that way. Several different nations attempted Tyre's destruction but the people would retreat to their island fortress out in the bay, probably taunting the attackers who could not reach them. Finally Alexander the Great came along and dismantled the houses and other structures of Tyre, throwing them into the sea to make a land bridge out to those people on the island. Would you say the Tyre folks probably stopped taunting Alexander's army by the time they were half way there? So Alexander the Great wiped the city of Tyre completely clean because the ruins all went into the water to make the land bridge. And do you know what the area of the original city is used for today? It's a flat barren rock, which makes the perfect place to spread fishing nets. All that is exactly what God predicted, and it was well in advance. Over and over again, God prophesied the rise and fall of nations. And God did these sort of specific predictions 2500 times in the Bible, with 2000 already coming true. I mean, give me a break! How much more proof do we need?

HOW DO WE GET EQUIPPED TO DEFEND THE CHRISTIAN FAITH?
If there’s one thing our world can’t stand, it’s hearing Christians answer their skeptical questions with something like, “You just have to accept it on faith.” Even personally, before becoming a Christian, that answer really bothered me. While it's true that faith is necessary for salvation, God still commanded His people to give a “defense” for that faith, and to do so by using sound logic, reason, and satisfying philosophical answers. Therefore, this study, "Introduction to Apologetics: Defenders of the Faith," seeks to equip every Christian with the ability to answer such skeptical questions as, "Does God Exist? What about Evolution? Is the Bible Really the Word of God? Why is There Evil and Suffering in the World? Is Jesus Really the Son of God? Did Jesus Really Rise from the Dead? What is the Meaning of Life?" and much more. When we become Christians, we’re not supposed to “check our brains at the door.” God clearly says, “Come let us reason together.” Get “Defenders of the Faith" and start sharing logical straightforward
God-given answers with your skeptical friends. | image tagged in christian apologists, bible, god, christian, jesus, learn | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

Sin Obliterated (This is cool!)

Not only can Christians relax in total peace because God has cleansed us of all sin, but when God says He will remember our sins no more, the Hebrew word used is, "obliterated." Our sins have been eradicated out of existence. Forgetting them was enough but, praise God, there is nothing left of them!!

With that in mind, in Philippians, Paul says to look at it this way:

"I forget what lies behind and run swiftly toward what's ahead.”

What was ahead for Paul (and is ahead for us), was the prize he could lay at Jesus’ feet. He strove heavenward at the task Christ had for Him. In the Greek, the word used for ”forget” is to the point of "oblivion."; There it is again! God says He obliterates any memory of our sins and Paul lets us know that means we are not to dwell, for even one moment, on past sins. That is absolutely awesome?!!

Whether your sin happened a year ago or one minute before now, for Christians, that sin has been expunged from all memory. It's been eliminated, exterminated, and annihilated. Why? That's what God's done for us because he loves us, and so that we can focus on helping others come to heaven with us.
