check desc if you actually read this stuff | aight story time Chapter 1, Tal. Operatives with the blue logo of Anodyne arrive at the planet, what planet? They don't know. They don't know why they're there, they just know what they need to do. Their goal is to find out if this planet is habitable for human life, Earth is already overpopulated to the point that even the biggest superpowers of Earth are struggling to keep the population of their countries under control. And so, these unlikely heros are here to decide the fate of humanity. The oxygen seems fine, they can breathe without respirators, but the landscape is the exact opposite. Barren deserts, with tiny patches of Forests here and there, but no sign of a large jungle or group of forests. No water either. Despite this, the operatives don't give up. They begin to scavange the large wasteland for resources. After the first hour on the planet, they managed to find a good location to settle down in. A small pond in the middle of the deserts, with trees around it. They set up their tents and begin to research the surroundings. It'll be another day or two before the next Supply ship arrives at the location, so they set up radio equipment, a water purificator and a solar panel, to supply their tents and other machines with power, of course. The sun is scorching hot, almost unbearable. The operatives are wearing heavy uniforms, they're literally burning. They send their first radio message to Earth. "We have found water and have settled down. I repeat, we have found a water source and have settled down, coordinates to our location have been sent." The operatives also make up a name for the planet, Tal, they call it. As night is upon them, they begin to get ready for sleep. One of them keeps guard, they saw something running around in those forests. Feathery, like a raptor from the bygone ages. The person that is chosen to keep guard is named Jr. Jones. Jones stands outside during the night, gripping his Type 41 Auto rifle. Nothing, the place is silent. The night comes and goes, and when the next day begins, everyone gets to work. The supply ship sends a transmission to them, clarifying that they are only a 7 hours trip away from the planet. The operatives are filled with joy. This joy is cut short when one of them notices something running in the distance. Grey fur, humanoid, but with a shark-like head. Jackson, another operative, jokingly calls it a 'Sergal'. The others don't think it's funny, it seems. They decide to observe the creature with binoculars. It's wearing some kind of clothes, and a shoulder-bag, along with a small bowler hat. Does it come from some civilization that exists on this planet? That's the question all the operatives are asking themselves. They don't engage with the creature, they don't know if it's hostile or armed. There's a clear sign of a civilization here, one with a different culture than Earth. The operatives try not to think too hard about the creature, but one operative, Sergei, an operative from the northern most areas of the Eurasian Union, suggests that the creature was probably some kind of mailman, judging by the bag he was carrying. The operatives, again, go to sleep. One is on patrol, this time, it's the 4th operative in the group, Hjordis. Hjordis comes from the land of the Alp Republic, and he is quite humorous. While on patrol, he didn't see anything in particular, apart from the beautiful night sky. The next day, the supply ship finally arrives. They note that there was a delay in the supply delivery due to a failure in the engines. Apart from basic building materials, vehicles, tools, rations and other essentials, they also drop off 2 new operatives. These 2 are both skilled Sandpike drivers. One is called Dr. Jasper, he wears a pair of circular glasses. The other's name is Pedro. Both of them come from the land of distant Eastasia. The vehicles they are professional in driving are 'Sandpikes'. Bike-like vehicles that feature 2 large 'wings' that extend forward from the front and have 2 large magnetrine disks attached to them, with 4 more disks on the back to ensure balance and propulsion. The vehicles are fairly cheap to produce, and can reach impressive speeds in the roughest terrain, mainly due to their ability to hover. The supply ship soon leaves.
