Now apply that to people who get paid under the table because they can’t work here legally, and thus, don’t pay into the tax system that pays for education, infrastructure, emergency services, etc. Us paying citizens end up paying more in taxes.

Every other country enforces immigration and deports those who violate it. Why is the US so different? Because leftist politicians can use it as an issue and allow these people to vote when they give them free everything. It's stacking the deck with illegals. Immigrants who come legally and pay their way are not liking that the illegals get special treatment and a free ride when they've gone through and paid their own way. Tell me what makes the US different and that it should not enforce it's immigration laws that Congress made?

It's not "overblown" when the last negligent administration allowed the border to be porous and allowed every economic migrant free access to the country all the while locking down the citizens in an economic strangling lockdown.

Your claims that legal residents won’t do those jobs is bunk. The fact is, illegals end up doing it because they are underpaid, don’t complain about work environments, don’t expect other benefits other than pay check, etc. - all because they have no legal grounds to demand better. They are being exploited.

I live in Texas, my guy, and exactly one kinda dude does the lawn work. And those dudes don't speak much English. And this ain't the 80s anymore when doing part time lawn work was a livable wage.

Nope, doing part time lawn work was never a livable wage. The only way you could live off it is if you worked full time and weren’t supporting a family. Part time work has never been a livable wage and it was never meant to be.
