Maybe you should try learning your own history in HS before you try to correct someone who studied history for over thirty years.

Maybe he’s confusing world wars one and two, but in World War One Germany had no territorial ambitions at all.

After reading all these comments I figure I should add something; WW1 France's army was falling to pieces and Britain was facing civilian unrest at home due to the casualties- without the US Germany with their new shock troops tactics may have pulled it off. The treaty of Versailles was extra hard on the Axis due to pressure from the Brits and Frogs over Wilson's objections, thus Europe is to blame for Hitler especially German citizens.
Because I watched a video or was schooled in our lefty school system really stacks up against you. History is one of the earliest left takeovers in academia. The anti-American bias in the history field has been there for decades and isn't going anywhere.

If Russia wanted to annihilate Ukraine they could do it. And they wouldn’t have to use nukes. All they would need to do is stage another front out of Belarus to flank the Ukrainian army. Yet they haven’t done that. They also aren’t pouting in for over Crimea.

Treaty of Versailles = hyperinflation. My grandfather lived over there during that time. he said people carried around baskets of money to buy common things like bread.

Yeah Germany was in debt from that war by alottttt that's partly why Hitler rose he promised them to bring the country back after WW 1

I didn’t say it would have had an allied victory in WW1. I said it would have been a better resolution than total humiliation of Germany. The harsh terms of the Versailles Treaty we forced on them and the demand for war reparations caused Germany to be ripe for someone like a Hitler to arise.

So you're saying we shouldn't have done that to a country who started a war. You do realize there are worse things that's come from treatises

The Treaty of Paris forced the French to give up almost all the land they had in North America. Im still trying to understand why you say it's Americas fault for Hitlers . . . The German people supported and wanted him so honestly it's Germanys fault

Back to the beginning.
1. We had no interest in a war with Germany.
2. We got into a war with Germany that we didn’t need to get into.
3. Our involvement led to total defeat for Germany when staying out of it would have brought peace between the central powers and the entant.
4. The total defeat of Germany caused the Versailles Treaty with its harsh terms and humiliating conditions.
5. This led to a resentment by Germany which Hitler was able to exploit.

Conclusion: had we kept our noses out of Europe’s business a peaceful resolution to WW1 might have happened, thus averting the humiliation of Germany and the rise of Hitler. Can you see it now?
