Yes but back then even liberals generally had blood in their veins, but today's liberals/leftists/progressives wouldn't DREAM of putting their own precious bodies on the firing line for anyone or anything.

The Ukraine is now accepting U.S. volunteers in a military capacity and yet nary a single one of our loud-talking and ENDLESSLY virtue-signaling leftists have professed a personal desire to go over there and fight and possible get mutilated or killed for what hey profess to believe in. It's a mystery.
