NONE OF THEM WANT TO PITCH IN | image tagged in memes, steve harvey | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
All "socialists" want to on the receiving end and not the contributing end.

😄

Or they can't contribute since we're raising prices and not wages and my mom barely has enough money to pay the rent, bills, and buy just the bare minimum of groceries

Do you not pitch in to help care for your family?

Why not?

Because I am 15, and the only jobs that would hire me live too far away from where I live and we don't have a car

Learn to code, and put that code on websites that sell it. If you are an artist you can do the same with commercial art. Go to the local library if you don't have a computer and internet

No. I don't have either of those.

Sure, you don't have a plastic bag.

Then take a pair of sweat pants and tie the legs shut.

Then, when mom is home, walk your neighborhood and pick up discarded aluminum cans.

Squash them as you pick them up.

Dump in a pile at your home until you have about 100 pounds, that's just 3.33 pounds per day for a month.

Find a recycling station near you and make a plan to cash them in.

You'll have somewhere between $50 and $100 depending on current price which you can call to get ahead of time.

If you have to pay a neighbor, one of your mom's friends, or an Uber to take you, subtract that from your proceeds.

You'll have enough money to help your mother pay a bill, buy some groceries, save for a dope whip, etc.

Always save 10% no matter what and leave it alone.

Pennies make dollars.

If you have a phone look at kick kash or apps such as game tester, beware some scam apps, always use PayPal. Sort of a side hustle. Play games but never pay money to get the stuff from games on phone, it seems that these game apps are rapping people for money who are dumb enough to pay. Just watch the videos, or wait the time for free rolls to reach levels that pay. Some are impossible. Swag bucks is also a app. Then take that money and invest it in Robinhood. You never know. Use brave browser over the course of years and make money by internet browser as a investment. It may be peanuts at first but overtime if you can get it right you could have 200 bucks for doing nothing.

Whatever you can do - do it!

That is the key.

Need without action is the height of laziness.

Sticking out one's hand waiting for another to fill it is slothful.

The meat of idleness is hunger.

The bread of indolence is poverty.

There is money to be had, one just need set the mind and the back to picking it up.

Drops fill buckets, pennies make dollars.

Remember what you said about work and your family situation?
This is kind of the same, but in reverse. Sans the later cat's in the cradle regrets.

"What 100lb pile of crushed cans on the kitchen table you're asking me about mom?
I don't know how it got there"

That's simply not happening.

My mom gets off work at 6:00pm and doesn't want me outside after dark, so even if there were jobs nearby, I wouldn't be able to get them if they meant walking due to winter schedule, at most I'd be able to get a summer job, which I actually plan to do once I'm 16 and there are more places that'll hire me, so I'll be able to work in the places close to home.

Buy a 6 pack of candy bars and sell them at school to your classmates by the each.

You can at least double what you spent.

Save 10% and leave it alone.

Repeat until you can buy 12 at a time, then 18, 24, etc.

Clearing $20 a day is $100/week.

Because they won't earn the money to start with, or they wouldn't be socialist.
P.S. Those that did the work stole from them, fork it over.

The hippies tried that during the 1960s with their communes; and all of them -- without exception -- either went bust or embraced capitalism and pushed their parasite members to the curb.

We all know how a religious leader made a town overseas and called it Jones Town. It ended in a Massicure, and should be taught in school, but isn't because of the whole religion upbringing around the situation.... The whole Don't drink the Kool aid joke, which isn't a joke at all.

Actually there are quite a few of them going on past 50 years, in America and throughout the world. And those are Hippie communes.
There's kibbutzes in Israel, and Jewish communes in rural Argentina that are far older.

2 ups, 2mo
The want the socialism but they don't want the work to create their own commune.

They want the government to do it for them. They are under the delusion that a socialist government won't make them slaves.

They think they will get to live live to the fullest. And all of us who know what socialism is about will either be dead or in re-education camps/gulags.

100k don't buy what it used to. Granted I never once seen any American's build a raft from capitalist trash, and float on over to Cuba to be saved from the USA's oppression.

It wouldn't be prime real estate by any stretch. Depending on where you look however, there could still be a big area. For instance, along the Texas/New Mexico border you can get a swath of land for $100K.

There is cheap land all over America...just not where most people want to live.

Dense urban or remote rural.
2 ups, 2mo
Yet perfect for socialist communes... they're going to build their own water and sewer system, farm their own crops and livestock, make their own clothes, shoes, tools, push carts, light source, grist mill, supplies, etc...why would they need civilization nearby?

Because those cities are doing the Robotcop. Pulling police out, cutting funds, city becomes a no go zone, property value plumets. The Rampart LA Police anti gang unit was doing that too, when they weren't extorting drug dealers for protection money.

Cutting funds to citizens and service in order to redistribute those funds to illegal criminal immigrants.
0 ups, 2mo,
1 reply
Maybe on paper, but get real, those funds are not going to illegals. They line their own pockets instead.
1 up, 2mo
You are correct.

Much of that money is going into private pockets.

California and Newsom are proof of that.

Because they're all too broke due to capitalism, we're raising prices but not wages so most people barely have enough money to pay rent, and other than Antarctica there's no island they could own to make a country.

Why do Christians hate socialism when the bible states: "Is it not to share your bread with the hungry and bring the homeless poor into your house; when you see the naked, to cover him, and not to hide yourself from your own flesh?" and “Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you”
2 ups, 2mo,

I'll address your second paragraph for now. "Giving" implies that those things are done willingly, while socialism redistributes resources from the barrel of a gun. Therefore it falls under "Thou shalt not steal".
0 ups, 2mo,

It's not stealing,
2 ups, 2mo,

0 ups, 2mo,

They should get in trouble depending on if they own multiple properties. If they only have one they shouldn't have to share, but if they do own more than one house, they should give it to someone homeless, like the bible verses says "shelter the homeless"

I'm not saying make EVERYTHING socialist, but maybe have mixed economies so people can in fact survive
1 up, 2mo
You just described theft by state proxy.

You also kill the desire of people to aspire.

Who would do more just to have the fruit of that labor taken away?
1 up, 2mo,
1 reply
Wish granted - the welfare system exists!

The government is robbing the labor of one to give to another.

Utopia sounds nice, but the modern homeless steal everything they walk by and destroy every shelter they are provided.

I think often the bible is misinterpreted to mean physically instead of spiritually.

And there are an equal number of verses speaking against the sin of slothfulness (laziness).
1 up, 2mo
That verse about sheltering the homeless says to take them into your own home.

It does not distinguish between rich or poor being commanded to open their door.

Both are in a position to offer shelter.
1 up, 2mo,
1 reply
They are rich in excuses.
0 ups, 2mo,
1 reply
What excuses? That for the first time America's biggest financial issue is being able to actually eat? I'm not saying we go completely socialist but don't you think the government should provide a few basic needs so people can survive?

Or if we stay with capitalism, why not raise the minimum wages of jobs as well as prices?
2 ups, 2mo
Despite what you may have been told or heard, when minimum wage goes up the price of everything goes up leaving one in the same financial situation.

One must earn more than minimum wage or work multiple jobs if one desires to increase one's standard of living.

Let me ask you, how is it are you communicating with me on this site?
