Someone who argues for communism as a solution to anything = ignorant, delusional, braindead, psychopathic, or sociopathic.

Heck of it is that socialism could work. The problem is the model that's being pushed. The 'modern model' could've been from Henri de Saint-Simon(who predated Marx by roughly 50 years or so) whose idea of socialism was more in line with capitalism. Unfortunately people like Marx took those ideas and twisted them inside and out.

Henri - No problem with religion. Marx - Religion is the opiate of the masses.

Henri - Doesn't matter if you are a CEO or a ditch digger. You're good as long as you have a job however if you are capable and refuse to work then you're a parasite. Marx - Constant class divides.

Henri - Freedom is good. Henri fought and sided with the colonists during the US War of Independence.
Marx - Government is good. Marx never fought for anyone else's benefit but his own.

If modern socialist would try Henri instead of Karl then maybe 'socialism' can be said to work when it is tried.

I doubt Henri de Saint-Simon’s ideas would go over well in the typical Republican Party sense, but one of the more noble views of Trump appears to be leaving social security alone. rather than dismantling it. However, most MAGA Republicans, and Trump have spoken too often of cutting it.

I think cuts to social security would be a losing strategy. And, unfortunately, we can’t take him at his word he will do little or nothing to it given his past history.

The only way to fix it is to fund it.

Who told you that? The CIA?

No, capitalism is the perfect system but it's never been tried before. Before any country gets too far into capitalism, it's taken over by cronyism (lawfare, central banks, government interference, etc...etc...)

100%^ Seeing the cronyism first hand dealing with the medical industry and insurances .. there is no better example of a good thing gone bad .

"With man it is impossible. With God all things are possible." - Jesus Christ.

The problem isn't which economic model is better but who is left out of the equation.

Thats a good point and an excellent reason for capitalism, capitalism in its truest form leaves no one willing to work out of the equation, the more people willing to work and succeeding the easier it is to support our elderly and disabled, whom need an economic safety net. Its truly a perfect system.

If any will not work neither should he eat.

If someone is disabled or elderly it is the responsibility of any civilized society to care for them.

Paul said “Will not” not “Cannot.” It presupposes an ability to work but an unwillingness to do so. But the first people to care for the elderly and disabled should be the families of such, not the government.
0 ups, 9mo
Like I said, in any civilized society, we tend to our needy. The elderly and disabled. Free medical and supplies should be readily availble to them. There is no opinion that is going to dissuade me of that stance.

That's an idea of socialism too. Landlords barely work, so does that mean they shouldn't eat?
0 ups, 9mo
“Landlords barely work.”

Not true. Aside from any full time work, they also provide a service, which is the available house, condo, or apartment that is being rented. They have to pay for the repairs and the taxes on the property also — all of which is a service to the tenants.

We are seeing that so much these days. All of the socialist/Marxist based economic models (i.e. socialism, Nazism, fascism and communism) are vehemently (and violently) opposed to allowing the people to believe in and/or worship a higher power, a Supreme Being or God. The state is your highest authority.

That is the exact reason why all of those forms of collectivism do not work. They start off or become horribly corrupt and with all political power residing in the state (and no power in the hands of the people) they become tyrannical.

Capitalism without God has severe problems but it cannot work at all without the people having all political power and freedom. That's when it changes into corporatism and cronyism.

But with God it becomes the greatest benefit to mankind that anything else man has come up with. That's when everyone one gets richer. All of the others, only the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. In collectivism the rich are only the ones running the government and everyone else is severely impoverished.

God and His moral teachings are the only thing that will insure that mankind maintains their liberty.

If true, then why is the Republican presidential candidate less popular for practicing cronyism?

Are you saying that cronyism is so ingrained in our country that it’s unavoidable?

Not just this country , its too ingrained in the world.

True.

Correct me if I am wrong, te closest we've been to pure capitalism was industrial revolution, right?

1. "Capitalism" is a marxist term.
2. History proves that Karl Marx was wrong
3. That word should not be used because it is a wrong point of view from the beginning.

I could switch them around

"Just because communism isn't perfect doesn't mean capitalism is the solution"

Capitalism in practice is flawed. Cronyism is one of its many flaws. Socialism in practice has failed every time it has been tried without exception. Let's talk about improving capitalism, not replacing it with socialism.

Government control and regulation of resources.

Incorrect. It's when workers own their work and it isn't privately owned
0 ups, 9mo
And who oversees the “people’s works” or the collective farms? The workers and farmers? Or is it the government that sets the prices, wages and quotas?
1 up, 9mo,
1 reply
This doesn't work, because communism was created as an extremist reaction to capitalism, which is flawed, but communism is overall more flawed. Capitalism actually works well for all with regulation and labor laws but communism needs a lot more changes to function properly without putting too much power into the hands of few people.

The only way communism can work is.......anarchy. That's the truth

Response to your comment because my phone won't let the chain get any longer:

Idk, isn't that just the risk of having an anarchy, it assumes that people are good and will work to help one another, but with that assumption, capitalism and communism both also work as systems.
