I really don't understand how people can hate an entire religion or race, they're literally just living. I can understand not liking certain aspects of the religion or person but judging an entire category of people just because of a few is stupid. When an entire culture of people are doing something different, it really doesn't concern you in the slightest

Well as you know Christians feel a tie to Israel bc their belief sprouts from Judaism. It is essentially the OT. So that explains one side.

Okay! I'll try and make some time to read it, i'm not a religious person anymore but I grew up in a christian household so it shouldn't be an issue.

Well, you don't actually have to be religious to read the bible as the bible has many different parts and elements. Specifically pertaining to the current mideast conflict, we refer to the historical narratives of Scripture.

I'll give you a quick rundown.

- God promised Abram (father of a nation) He would give him a son.
- Abram's lack of faith led to him accepting Sarah's servant and give birth to Ishmael.
- This is when God renamed him to Abraham (father of many nations)
- After Isaac was born and Ishmael became older, Abram feared Ishmael may fight Isaac one day for birth right. So he gave him and Hagar (his mom) a lot of money and drove them away.
- After Sarah (Abraham's wife) died, Abraham married 4 other wives and had many sons, presumably out of fear something might happen to Isaac as he grows up.
- When Isaac became a man and realizing God kept His promise, he gave money to each of his other sons and drove them away out of fear they would challenge Isaac for his inheritance.

These other sons became many nations and their children became today's Arabs. Do you see why they hate Israel? God specifically said Ishmael will become a nation and his people will be "like a wild donkey, raising his fist in violence against all his neighbors and brothers." Seems about right?
