No single party controls education materials. Those are different standards set by the state through the entire legislation.
The line between Indoctrination and Education has always been rather blurry. It depends entirely on the intent and content.
Omission and censorship of facts in education is just as, if not more so, destructive than introducing subjects deemed by a singular focus group minority as taboo or unfair.
Opposing things for the sake of opposing things is destructive and history will never side with you on blind opposition. Standing for something is much more constructive and likely to be viewed less harshly by history.
There are huge differences in Republican and Democratic parties now. And, to be fair, there are far more partisan politicians on both sides which make it difficult for some people to consider the candidate without considering their party, that I can at least understand. But blindly voting for a person based simply on which party they belong is just complete and utter stupidity and ignorance and only fuels the self-fulfilling prophecy or ongoing problem of the so-called uni-party on the voter’s end.
The side that continues to defend confederate ideals, and has continued to push post-proconfederate policies is rapidly apparent to be the current Republican Party rather than the Democrat Party.
Pushing for confederate ideals and then painting some starts and stripes over it, doesn’t mean they love America.
And the left calling out the shallow patriotism on the right doesn’t mean they hate America.
Hating or loving America or a specific party is a perception, not rooted in facts but based on feelings. If that is your conclusion to the perceptions of their actions, and that is enough to ignore policies or individual candidates, then you’re allowing your emotions to determine your political leanings and opens you up to the same vulnerability of nothing being done just so entertaining characters can be elected to office.
My point is…
If you ignore the policies of the individual elected officials you’re voting in, then complain that they don’t work, don’t do anything, or that their ideologies must be failed, then you’re neglectfully choosing to blame your ignorance on others.
Which is detrimental to the conservative foundation of personal responsibility.
