"Percentage wise, there are more."
And what are those numbers as well as the source? Because I've seen various, and the ones in line with what you say give their biased agenda away with their names.
"However, it isn't the straight community that is shoving our sexuality in other people's faces"
That's like the lawn calling the one cactus in the garden, green...
The only way you can claim the straight community isn't shoving sexuality in other people's faces is that everyone is so used to it, it dosn't feel like it's getting shoved. It's literally everywhere, from nearly every song on the radio to movies to blue jeans and pink skirts to the, yes, Budweiser stand at the end of the beer aisle at the Walmart. You know that thing was NOT designed for the Hello Kitty set.
It's in most of my memes too. You remember Yoga Pants Week, the MILF stream? Seen any hot sweaty built sexy gents in them? If there was one single fella in yoga pants in the mix, we'd have made a stink about it and DV it so far back into unfeatured, it'll turn up somewhere on AOL back in the 90s.
Your argument itself, like the plethora of memes on the subject, IS shoving a sexuality in other people's faces by complaining about that which interferes with your vision of it. You're not saying do away with sexuality and affect some sort of neutral neutered atmosphere, you're calling for a preservation of what has been recognized as the norm, the status quo. How is that not shoving our sexuality in other people's faces?
Hey, I do it to, again, most of my memes. Heck, there are pics like at the beach I haven't used simply because there was guy or two off in the distance in the water. Ok, that's me being a bit neurotic, but that's how I want it. What I don't want to see, I scroll past and leave it be (unless it's something truly vile which needs to be removed).
There are those who complain about my memes and streams. They're free to move on as well. Or not. Look at what happened to the PornPolice and Crusader streams. Turns out quite a few of the gallant warriors liked to post links for each other, or even examples of the 'offending' pics. You know, so they can all have a look-see before reporting them to the admin. *wink* So they imploded under the weight of their own leering eyes.
You can argue that something that is so thoroughly woven into the fabric of our society isn't pushing it, but that doesn't change that it imbues nearly everything and you're pushing against anything else.
