I am really not sure why so many conservatives like Robert Kennedy Jr. He has stood in hard opposition to freedom of speech and his environmental policies would collapse the economy.

I assume that would mean that you do not have a legitimate response to make. I am not silencing Robert Kennedy Jr by simply reiterating the points that he has made. I would honestly support Robert Kennedy Jr winning the Democrat nomination, because I realize that he would have zero chance of defeating Donald Trump. Just because he is better than other Democrats does not make him good. One could say that crack is better than heroin and that wouldn't make crack good.

The incumbent president never participated in the debate in their re-election bid. Donald Trump did not debate Bill Weld, Barack Obama did not debate John Wolfe, Bill Clinton did not debate Lyndon LaRouche, George H.W. Bush did not debate Pat Buchanan, etc.

That is blatantly false.



Pat Buchanan won 367 delegates, and 23 percent of the popular vote.



Even further back, Herbert Hoover did not debate Joseph I. France, who won 7 contests and 48 percent of the popular vote. Calvin Coolidge did not debate Hiram Johnson, who won 29 percent of the popular vote.



The people who are claiming that they would vote for Robert Kennedy are likely not registered Democrats. You have to be overwhelmingly delusional to believe that Robert Kennedy would win the Democrat nomination. That would be the equivalent of Charlie Baker winning the Republican nomination.



Furthermore, participating in a debate would likely hurt Robert Kennedy Jr, due to his speaking disorder, spasmodic dysphonia.

How many RNC Presidential Primary debates were held in 2019?



How many RNC Presidential Primary debates were held in 2003?

Answser: The number 0 and a sitting Republican US President running for re-election.

Just like the DNC had when Clinton ran for his 2nd term. And Obama. And Carter.



That's why there aren't any plans for primary debates now. 



It's not dodging debates. 



The candidate is already in the elected office.

Here we are again, not reading my message? 



So, I'll repeat what I wrote above:



"The RNC did NOT PAY for the (2020 PRIMARY DEBATE, either as there was only) ONE candidate, who actually won a single delegate (himself?), who challenged Trump’s bid in 2020."



This isn't because the RNC is "corrupt" or whatever, it makes sense... because this is "BUSINESS AS USUAL for ANY party, Democrat and Republicans, who ALREADY HAVE an INCUMBANT in office."

There have been so many complaining about the primary debate that I forgot the reason I even rewrote my response to include the general election, which Graeystone seems confused why I would even address that, was because the OP didn't even mention the word primary.



I suspect the OP really thinks (and I use that term very lightly) there won't be any Presidential Debates for the general election.



The irony is there may NOT be but not because the DNC or Biden.
